how about until our students quit losing ground in the world marketplace, we adopt a zero calamity day policy and make up any and all days lost. the schools are there and salaries are already paid. is there a valid reason we arent using them more?

Another correction for the mess Strickland left us in. Adding days on at the end of the school year are non productive for both teachers and students. 5 calamity days is much more reasonable than 3, and does not put school administrators in a situation where they have to decide to have school on days where safety needs to be the top priority. Strickland also wanted to extend the school year 20 days, but of course didn't have a clue as to how to pay for this.

Classes of the future will be held online instead of in a classroom. Then kids won't need calamity days.
