A person who knowingly commits such a heinous act like Michael Solomon, poses a serious threat to us all.

When and if Michael is found guilty, the death penalty should be administered immediately.

Who's next in line?

This is a very serious issue. My daughter is going thru the same crap with her baby's father but when you call the police on his ass they have to go thru all this paperwork bullshit before they even attempt to put his ass away. So, many women suffer and unfortunately have to lose their lives because these freaks keep eluding the police time after time. Unpaid child support and firearms charges against him in the beginning. My questions is why was he still out here free? Oh, cops could not find him!! What a joke!!

You are very right, this is serious, and laws need to be passed to help the police help people like your daughter. The police cannot do anything, until the guy breaks a law. Has your daughter bought a gun? If not, she needs to right away, and she needs to take lessons in how to use it.

Answer, no, she is 17 years old getting ready to go to medical training school and have not even had one thought of getting a gun to protect herself! She got involved with this clown and she wants to move on with her life! He ain't trying to have it. So you are right she needs to get trained and ready to go ASAP!! I am sick of these animals out here taking over and trying to control other folks lives. They need to keep it moving in the other direction of folks who don't want anything out of life but some trash!!

What ever happened to personal responsibility? I'm sorry but these women today will walk over 10 decent guys to get to an abusive thug. "Oh this will never happen to me or He is not like that with me". Truth is, THEY ARE LIKE THAT. Cops will lock his worthless azz up and the women will beat the cop to the station to get him out. Too damn many "baby daddy" and not enough fathers. Or, husbands.

It just seems to me that this is better dealt with on the front end instead of playing catch up after the fact. Hopefully this serve as a lesson to starry eyed women to maybe screen the sires of their kids better. And to be proactive when it comes to ANY kind of abuse. The cops didn't choose the thug, the woman did.

Why not see if your 17 year old daughter knows where he hangs out? I am sure if she was willing to have a baby with him at 17 she knows where he hangs.

Is she assisting the police to find him?
How old is the baby's father?
Has she given a list of known "associates" and their addresses?
Please tell me she isn't protecting him "because he loves her"?
Why do women put up with "men" like this?
Has she seen what happens to women that do?

Parents need to warn their daughters about this type of dangerous idiot.

Parents need to lead by example. You need to show/teach your kids domestic violence is TOTALLY
unacceptable. Teens having kids out of wedlock is also. We, as parents need to know what our children are doing, with whom and make sure they understand there are consequences to their actions.

Abby, you are right, we see so many cases of domestic violence that could have been avoided had had children been taught the early warning signs, and there are early warning signs. Men that hit women are nothing more than week pussies that unknowingly question their own masculinity.
As far as teens having babies, I think much of this is history repeating itself, at least in the projects. Someone really needs to ask the young girls if they want to land up like their mothers in 10 years, knocked-up, living in a slum, no money, and no respect. That should be enough.
It really all can be fixed, or at least suppressed, if kids are taught self respect, and that goes for boys and girls.

Wanted to respond to the comments. Not every man out here that decides to become a stalker or obsessive psycho is a "THUG" . It could be the pastor next door, doctor, lawyer, or any other professional who you would not think would do things like this. I would be carefull not to stero type folks who this stuff happens to. True my daughter is a young girl who got pregnant but she is not from the projects. She has grown up with both parents in the same home. She is a honor roll student and is going on to med training school. It is so easy to sit back and talk about responsibilty of parents, we just simply cannot control every single thing that happens in our lives it is just not possible. And it is true that we did not want this for her. We are working folks, we couldnot keep OUR eyes on any of our children 24 hour a day. Hell, the former president's daughter was out there drinking and causing havoc all over with secret servive men watching her, so what! So, my daughter is stepping up and bettering herself so that she can become financially capable of supporting her own daughter. As far as telling the police, she is and she has given them plenty of information to apprehend this guy but it just not going to happen soon. They generally have to get in some other type of trouble to get picked up LIKE Michael Soloman. And the police know very well where the folks live, work and hang out. That has nothing to do with actually going to arrest them. It's true that thisis not the case for all the young girls who happen to be growing up in the projects, but it's completely up to that individual as to whether or not that they want to strive to make a better life for themselves and their babies and get out of the housing projects and not depend on baby daddies, welfare, food stamps or any of that stuff. Life is not always what happens to you and is truely how you respond and react to what has happened to you. We (family) are fully supporting her thru this.

I am glad that he was indicted, however that does not bring Tameka back. I cant believe he would be so evil and take away a great mom and a family member that we loved so much

Oh please tell us, in your articulate way, how you REALLY feel. Another "cousin" posting stupid stuff that can't understand I was pointing out the demise of the family due to the street mentality. Yes, I may be insensitive but I am far from being a "bastard". See, unlike some people, I know who my father is so in the vernacular of the term, I am not guilty.

Nice to know you don't think murdering her does not make him a thug.

What would you call him, a nice guy?

"Once he started with the lies and signs of abuse, she was TRYING to leave that night she was killed.....MY COUSIN, never allowed him to abuse her!!!!"

Which was it, had he started to abuse her or not?

Your spew makes no sense. A murderer is a bigger thug where I grew up than an abuser, but both are scum bags!

Murder and dumping a baby off in the pitch of black are not actions of a nice man. I will bet there was prior abuse, signs of abuse and probably some form of abuse in past relationships. You ladies better wake up.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Sagittarius

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses today, especially when you look at some of the special people in your life. Right now you only want to see their good points and you'll deliberately turn a blind eye to any faults that might be on show. If you can escape from the real world for a day with you-know-who you'll have a marvelously romantic and emotional time together. But do your best to come back to earth tomorrow.
