I want to make it known that I knew Heather and I know her parents. I also know that Mr. Moorefield and Ms. Castelvecchi have filed a civil lawsuit again Cory. Just what is the point in the continued effort to punish Cory and his family. All of the children involved in this accident made poor choice's including Heather. Maybe they should speed some time walking in the others shoe's. Everyone close to these children will never forget them. As a mother that has also lost a son due to his poor choice and it only takes one, I think that it is time to forgive everyone involved and to pull together and help each other. There are many positive ways to carry on the memories of these children; without continuing to torture one another.

Uhm, alright, DaFacts Here.
get your damn facts straight since you seem like you know it all. my brother DIDNT FREAKING TAKE THE CAR. it was the other boy. so next time, try not to sound like a mother effing idiot and get reliable sources that tell you the correct info. and seriously this HERO shit has got to go. it was the first two initials of HEather and RObert. so stop freaking out. they were both heros in their own way weather you want to think that or not. Maybe you shouldn't judge people on what you HEAR and stop saying shit if you dont know them.

Cory isn't sorry it was posted on myspace also. Heather and Robert will never be forgotten. They will always be remembered not for the choice they made but for the people they were. It's a tragic accident what happened but i think the driver should pay for that one choice he made to go out and take his parents car.

What is the real story?
Foreword- I used the name of my YouTube account.

I could tell you. Because I know. But I won't, because if you really needed to know it, you already would. Do you really think I want to tell you how my classmates died? Everyone who was a Godwin student or teacher at the time knows what happened. The pain of losing Heather and Robert is most strongly felt by the family of those two and the ones who will forever be their classmates, the Mills E. Godwin High School Class of 2009. I know the whole story. I was in Robert's English class that year. I still remember the last time I saw him alive. The driver was in my German class. He lived, and now has to live the rest of his life with those two on his conscience.
To anyone who happens to see this- be glad you don't know Robert's story like I do. The loss of such fine individuals was terrible, made all the worse by knowing it was a desire for cheap fun that had caused it all. It taught the Class of 2009 a valuable lesson, one all teenagers need to learn *before* this kind of thing happens- you're not invincible.

Good God, man, spell right. If you're going to talk about them, two very fine individuals who were and are my classmates, show some freaking respect and watch your mouth! Let me tell you something else- nobody,*nobody*, but the people who actually knew Heather and/or Robert have any right to criticize or pass judgment on either of them. I think it's pretty safe to assume you are not one of those people.

I have, like some of my classmates, been looking at this small sector of the internet dedicated to Robert and Heather, and made a few comments over time. I was nothing short of appalled when I came on here and saw this...I couldn't think of any decent way to say it. I only needed to read it once to know you are not a Godwin student, let alone a member of the Class of 2009. It was a bad decision to do what they did, and it did cost them dearly, but can't you just say it is a shame their lives ended so quickly and leave it at that? Of course not. Common decency is an uncommon, alien, thing to you. You don't know 'Da Facts'. You can't handle 'Da Facts'. Get off of this site, and never try to desecrate the memory of my classmates again. Like Joseph McCarthy in his time, you apparently have no sense of decency at all. None.

Dummies didn't think. Short lives wasted.
What's wrong with you? I mean, where were you when they were instructing all the little toddlers in the purpose and meaning of decency? I, like many of my classmates I imagine, spent the past years trying to forget and rarely speaking about something I will never forget. Something I may spend the rest of my life trying to find the answers for. And then you, some arrogant ass in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who never knew me or anybody else in my class, nevermind Heather Moorefield and Robert Snead themselves, comes on here and BAM! You've got all the answers. Pardon me, you utterly despicable idiot, for not wanting to hear them.

I went out to the place where it happened today, with a vase of red and white roses. Two colors to honor the red and white of Godwin High, two colors to honor each of my classmates. And roses, because roses mean remember.
It was a solemn experience, placing the roses, making sure the crosses were secure, and just taking a moment to remember. It's been four years, now. And when I got out there, four other sets of flowers were already there. I knew I wasn't the only one who hadn't forgotten. I salute the memorial every time I pass the intersection, to make sure I never do.

Rest in peace, Robert Snead and Heather Moorefield. The Class of 2009 will never forget you.

There is nothing beautiful or heroic about two teens taking a car when they are underage and lack the license to drive to joy ride around and get killed. Give me f_ck_ng break on trying to make these kids angelic. They took a car when they were underage and drove it to their damn deaths. Other drivers are now safe on the road without them. Their parents shouul be wondering what did they do wrong to create these two hoodlums. Yes they are exactly that-- hoodlums. If they were black kids in the city of Richmond everyone would be silent or silently saying they got what they deserve. Well rich kids in the west end deserve the same sentiment. They are clearly too spoiled, not properly supervised by the parents and running ammuck in the west end. They are lousy teens who think the world is theirs because daddy makes a lot of money. They have no respect for the law and no respect for others. every driver is now safer on the road without these two teens.
Parents in the west end, when will you realize that your sweet little, Lauren, Brandon, Madison, Matt, Heather, Connor, or whatever uppity name you gave your child, is not so sweet and innocent. How many of your kids will die before you wake up an say your are not a good parent because you are not properly surpervising your own kids? Wake up your uppity, self serving, egotistical residents of the west end who possess a God complex and pass it on to your offspring

Dear, dear. This is quite the ugly outburst, isn't it? Way to through race into there, too. Them damn rich white folk, always keeping the black man down. Pfft. Go whine to the NAACP and have them sue the City of Richmond, Henrico County, or the bloody Commonwealth of Virginia for whatever bogus reason sounds good. I can't recall any of us saying there was something heroic about what they did. All of my class knows it was a mistake, what they did. It was a mistake that cost lives, but saying the world is better without them is wrong. I have a rule against passing judgement on things like this unless I know the whole story. Evidently, you don't. Personally, I think you just hate us rich white folk in the West End because you want to be us, but you'll never be us. You're jealous of us because we're living the cushy suburban life the whole **** world wants to. Teenagers, as an age group, have an adventurous, cavalier attitude towards life, and that does get a certain number killed every year. The problem can be minimized, but I doubt it can be stopped entirely. But you don't care about that. You just want to see The Man get his comeuppance. Go whine to the NAACP and get off this site. Don't ever come back. Speaking ill of the dead, especially dead I once knew, really ticks me off. You don't care about seeing any of this fixed, these tragedies prevented from happening again in subsequent generations. You just want to rage against The White Man of the West End. Pfft. Get outta my face. I'd have kicked your *** if you said any of that BS to me in person.

And by the way, my heartless friend, that we rich white folk have hearts sometimes, and the loss of Robert and Heather caused and continues to cause many of us a great deal of pain. Also, the West End is not some Klansman's heaven. There are plenty of people of all races and backgrounds out here. Some areas are affluent and some not so much. It's just like anywhere else. But hating the folks who are living a comfortable, financially secure life for that fact and only hating the white ones makes no sense. Please go away and never come back. To the families of Heather and Robert, and everyone who was in any way affected by the tragedy of 2-25-2006, I am sorry you have to read the hideous and hateful words of people like this one. The pain of loss is bad enough without someone poking at it, trying to make it worse because they don't care. Just keep in mind that I do. Always have, and always will. I never knew Heather, regrettably, but I knew Robert, and I can vouch for his character personally. He was no hoodlum. He was a great guy, and nothing any hateful, insensitive fool could ever say about him will change that. RIP Heather Moorefield and Robert Snead. I'm never going to forget either of you.
