No, Volkswagen wants the UAW to partner under a German union style "working group" but Rethuglican politicians in hicksville Tennessee are threatening to withhold pre approved tax incentives for the plant's expansion if workers vote to unionize.
I thought Rethuglicans weren't interested in micro managing private business? What about government getting out of the way so businesses can make their own decisions? LOL!!!!!!
Oh the hypocrisy......
Extorting a no vote on unionization in exchange for not going back on a deal to offer expansion incentives.....
I hope VW pulls out of backwards Tennessee and move elsewhere just to prove a point.
It will be interesting to see how the workers vote on that proposal. Does the UAW really understand what a Works Counsel is and does Volkswagen really understand what the UAW is? The unions in Germany are regulated as well as the company.

We'll see, won't we?

Suffice to say, big government Rethuglicans in Tennesse have no right to insert themselves into what is a private corporate matter.

Or to take out ads all over town trying to sway the vote....using their untaxed, surplus wealth, AGAIN, as a weapon against the will of the people.

I don't understand the republican concern. Maybe they don't understand what a work counsel is. I have no problems with unions in general as long as they aren't forced against the people's will. The tea party has stood with unions in the past when their civil liberties were threatened.

RIGHT!
Like your statement that THERE WAS NO MANUFACTURING BASE LEFT you m/f c/s lying POS.
500 employes now that were not employed, and increasing to 1,200.
That's in ONE PLANT.
Still waiting: how is it you said that WE HAVE NO MANUFACTURING BASE LEFT when we are #2 in the world, just behind China which as 1.3 billion people?
And then explain how it is that we can have NO MANUFACTURING BASE but then it is shrinking?
It is clear to be why you say you are paid to give advice but you are here all the time passing out this line of cr@p.
It was an expression. I catch you making actual lies all day.

There's no union at that plant either.

The Food Stamp President is doing everything he can to kill manufacturing, by making energy and wages more expensive.

The Electrolux guy said the only workforce in America capable enough from an education standpoint was the northeast, but the taxes were too high.

It looks good from Europe because their taxes are even higher than ours. Their investors prefer our stock market to their own as well.

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5)— After KPIX 5 ConsumerWatch revealed confusion over which physicians are accepting patients under Covered California, some doctors who did not want to accept patients on the exchange said they were surprised to find out they were on the exchange’s list of providers.

Last week, KPIX 5 reported on Covered California enrollees who found many doctors on the insurance exchange’s list wouldn’t accept them as patients. As a result of our report, Covered California removed the list of doctors from their website.
Independent physicians across California say they can’t afford to participate in Covered California’s insurance plans because the reimbursement rates are too low, and they say they don’t have the clout doctors with larger medical groups have to negotiate higher rates. They also warn that could mean a shortage of doctors in areas largely served by independent physicians.

Dr. Marie President is one of those doctors unhappy with reimbursement rates. The Redwood City internist said she was surprised to even find herself on a provider list published on the Covered California site.“We were astonished because we hadn’t signed anything yet,” President told KPIX 5.

Additionally, she says the reimbursement rates offered under the state’s plan aren’t realistic. Taking patients under those circumstances isn’t practical, President said.“We can’t, or we’ll be out of business.”

0failurecare killed jobs, now it's killing those evil-greedy doctors and hospitals.

State Department
House report on Benghazi attack faults White House for security lapses

Published February 11, 2014
FoxNews.com

White House officials either failed to comprehend the situation in Benghazi or ignored the dramatically deteriorating security there while preparing for the September 11th anniversary, according to a new report set to be released by the House Armed Services Committee Tuesday.

The report, aides said, found that U.S. military personnel in Benghazi were vulnerable at the time of the attack because the administration did not direct a change in military force posture, there was no intelligence of a specific “imminent” threat in Libya, and because the State Department, which is primarily responsible for diplomatic security decisions, favored a reduction in Defense Department security personnel in Libya before the attack.

The Pentagon is reportedly working to correct many deficiencies and weaknesses that were revealed by the Benghazi attack, but the House report concluded that global security situation is continuing to deteriorate as military resources decline.

Benghazi was a NSA and State Dept mission.

Pentagon is US Military HQ

there is no correlations among the three depts.

This explains the House having no credibility

Benghazi with an armed force invading that night unaware of who or what was waiting on the ground could have turned into "Black Hawk Down" part II
General Ham said his Team was 10 hours away in training. Relief got to Benghazi 8 hours from the time the attack began.
Now, everybody is a military mission strategist for some reason doubting Gen Ham,
Stop people. Playing with GI Joes is not qualifications to doubt Ham.

That issue is being covered over. Spending cuts eliminated sufficent funding for top notch security. After the killings Republicans clamed up on that

Congress leaving personnel in the field with no funding happened all the time in Nam.
The GOP repeated old stratagies with Benghazi. Why was the CIA contractors there to begin with? To manipulate the order of no boots being on the ground
