Why They Hate Obama

Aug 8, 2013 Full story: The Daily Beast 12,325

As the Virginia Flaggers loft their Confederate flag in opposition to the 'tyranny' of 2013, Jamelle Bouie argues that racial bias plays at least some part in Obama's collapse in the South.

The ones that voted for him were the smart ones.
The Majority of American voters had more sense then the halt and lame Fox Slaves and they rejected the ideology of racists and Koch inspired boot lickers of the Rich as unworthy of America.
You lost both times because Most Americans recognized the ignorance and misogyny

Precisely why we need a single payer health care system as Europe and the rest of the civilized industrialized world enjoys.
I know, I've availed myself of the dreaded European "socialist" health care...and it's far superior to ours in most ways from quality of care, to delivery, to outcomes. Europeans are taxed for it, but would rather be taxed for this, and not taxed for unfunded wars for oil, and tax breaks for the wealthy elites as the Tush Administration larded on our Chinese Credit Card.
The housing bubble was the result of Wall Street packaging and selling bogus, toxic derivatives. Shredding, and repackaging mortgages as "investment" grade products when they were based on loose banking standards put into place by the Gramm Act.
Do you remember Tush's "Ownership Society" speech, where he chided Fannie and Freddie to start "emulating Wall Street" and let the American taxpayer rejoice in the "American dream of home ownership?" I remember it.
Move to Europe then.

You can't sell bad securities unless you have those bad securities to begin with. Those bad securities came from 0% down and no credit checks. Banks made those loans under the supervision of Fanny and Freddy. It was their regulations that banks adhered to.
So you tell me, what was Wall Street supposed to do with bundled bad investments? They had to get rid of them even if it meant forging and lying. So they sold them off under false pretenses to the secondary market. That's what caused the collapse.
When you look to solve a problem, you don't look at the end game. You look at where the problem started in the first place. The problem started with giving unworthy borrowers the ability to purchase homes they could never afford in the first place.
We have had socialist government run healthcare for many years under Medicare and Medicaid no different than Europe, and where has that got us? It's got us in debt and unable to support. Canada spends over one billion dollars every year in the US to treat their Canadian patients that they can't help. People come here from all over the world to get treatment for complicated medical procedures. They don't go to Europe for that. The US is rated number one in the treatment of cancer patients.
Socialist healthcare is fine for a broken finger or to have your tonsils removed. But when it comes to lifesaving procedures, you don't have the time to wait eight months for a hospital bed which is common with socialist healthcare.
Of course I knew you were going to go there with regard to socialized medicine in Europe, but suffice to say, you're wrong. The care is far superior, no wait times, and better delivery and outcomes....I know, as I said, believe me or not, have been there, and my family uses it routinely in England and France/Belgium. Not one European I know would trade it for the world, or for our system of sickness care, as opposed to their system of health care.

We are not the number one cancer care provider, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Scandinavia are.

Medicare and Medicaid are smoothly working systems when not being bilked by right wing run private insurers....that part is broken, but funding is the issue when government lead programs don't work properly, not the system itself. When Republicans get into a position of holding the purse strings, it's an issue of forcing the defunding of programs that creates problems. They have used this meme for years.....deny funding, advertise the fact something is not "working" in government, then force privatization, or removal of the program altogether.

We're onto it, and know how they operate.

Economies of scale in health care means more people get covered for less.....a basic economic principle ignored by the right when the agenda is public tax theft, designed to create more private business models, all Republican run, of course. Which is why we don't like "Obamacare" since it's a market based plan, created by Republicans in charge of the nation's biggest insurers, and hatched at the so-called "Heritage Foundation"...a giant right wing "think" tank.

Once we have a single payer system, along the lines of Canada (which does not send people to the US, another right wing manufactured story) or Europe, then we will gave the system that will cover the most people, deliver the best care, and do it less expensively.

The so-called "liar" loans were but a tiny percentage of the housing collapse....right wing run banks, under right wing policy, as I've stated, the "Gramm Act" as one, Tush's "Ownership Society Speech" (look it up), and having Fannie and Freddie FOLLOW Wall Street's gambling ways, got us here...institutional "investors" putting up thousands of condo towers, bilking the system, and getting the taxpayer under Fannie and Freddie to subsidize their gambling addiction as the underwriter of first resort, is why we're here.

They ration care in Europe.

There are very few dentists and no straight teeth in Europe. People pull their own teeth in England.

Six percent of those questioned in a survey of 5,000 patients admitted they had resorted to self-treatment using pliers and glue, the UK's Press Association reported.

England has a two-tier dental care system with some dentists offering publicly subsidized treatment through the National Health Service and others performing more expensive private work.

But more than three-quarters of those polled said they had been forced to pay for private treatment because they had been unable to find an NHS dentist. Almost a fifth said they had refused dental treatment because of the cost.

Next you folks will be saying that the english have to wait 10 months to have a baby!

Or they have to perform heart surgery on themselves.

Ignorant propaganda.

Having enjoyed the english and french system, I never pulled out my own teeth, waited more than a few days for an appointment and my baby was delivered on time.

Switzerland has one of the better healthcare systems. Although there are a couple of government run insurance companies, the system is private insurance with a choice of coverage. The lesser incomes are subsidized. Sounds like the Paul Ryan plan.:-)
