Right. They balanced the budget for the first time in many years.

They closed down the caucus buildings saving Americans tons of money.

They block granted welfare, school lunches and other safety nets saving Americans tons of money by getting rid of all those useless government paper pushers.

They created Welfare Reform again, saving Americans tons of money.

BTW, since we're talking about accomplishments of Congress, what did the Democrats do when they led Congress for those few short years?

Never wrote a budget.

Passed Commie Care, some of the representatives went along because they were paid off.

Piglosi got her private plane paid for by the tax payers. She flew back and forth across the entire country, and when she wasn't using that plane, she let her family use it complete with a stocked bar and meals.

They drove the debt up to 17 trillion dollars, refunded the Iraq war, the Afghanistan war, expansion of nearly all safety nets including the expansion of food stamps.

Get it straight white boy.....you ppl. will never ever convince the masses that Obama follows the dictates of something you whites brought to this country. Ask communist China whether Obama is a communist or not. China would say that America is a socialist nation dependent upon them to make it. Look up the definitions of those words boy!!!!!!!!!!

That was a process used in America to subjugate citizens constitutional protections prior to the voting rights act for 100 years after the civil war when some States instituted apartheid, better known as Jim Crow..

That would violate the US Constitution equal access and protection clause, which isn't up for citizens referendum.

Republicans commonly are more than willing to shred citizens constitutional protections, they're still not loyal to American beliefs and values. So it's not surprising and expected that still today Republicans favor unconstitutional policies.

You're leaving out the part where Clinton held his ground against Newt and the Republicans in those budget negotiations that lead to the Federal Government shut down until the Republicans capitulated, eventually leading to Newt being thrown out of Congress and pushed out of Washington in complete disgrace.

The Tech Bubble was more the result of day traders purchasing interest in non performing companies and had nothing to do with adding value to the economy or the nation's GDP. Eventually the stock prices of Tech Companies collapsed and millions of inexperienced day traders loss their initial investments because those Tech Companies were not generating revenue.

The Tech Bubble angle as a cause of the greatest expansion of the American economy under Clinton is driven by Republicans to individuals in their base no sophisticated enough to understand the new phenomenon of day trading on the NYSE. It is a created delusion with no basic in fact.

Similar to the Government and Clinton forcing banks to loan to unqualified borrowers for home loans.

Yes indeed. Funny how that didn't happen until the Republican Congress took over for the first time in 40 years and Newt Gingrich convinced Clinton to lower the capital gains taxes.
Clinton's success was partly due to Bill working with the Republican Congress. It was mostly due to the fact he presided during the tech bubble. If you don't know what that is, just ask, I'll explain it to you.
Yes there were jobs, but the Democrats at the time promised us a revolt if Clinton signed Welfare Reform anyway. It didn't happen, in fact, quite the opposite happened. The Republicans were right once again.

Sour grapes, the Republicans aren't of the majority opinion in America and without victories in national elections you can't dismantle the law.

There has been two chances to put in a President and both times you've loss by decisive margins...... more than 120 Electoral votes......... your ideas have been thoroughly rejected.

57% of American who are disgruntled by ACA want Single Payer and always wanted some version of Single Payer or a public option, some of us never wanted to adopt the Republican ACA plan but Obama compromised when we don't think that was a necessary strategy.

There's one way to make it constitutional, and that is the amendment process. Again, Republicans would be all for it, it's the Democrats that would fight tooth and nail to make sure it never happened.

Eric, deep down inside, you know very well that I'm right. Many Democrat supporters don't know the first thing about politics or what they are voting on. You know, Obama Money. The problem in this country is that we have way too many ignorant voters that are destroying this country.

Let me put it this way: the Democrats had a handful of people running in the primaries for the 2008 election. They narrowed it down to two people. One had less than a years experience in federal government, and the other was a Senator for 8 years and spent 8 years in the White House. Who did they choose?

So out of all the people running for the highest office in the land, the Democrats chose the one with the least experience. Does that sound like an intelligent electorate to you?

Jim Crow was exclusive to Southern districts and States loyal to dividing the races and overt racism at every level of Government in the region. The practice was very effective in locking out minorities of all ethic group from the American capitalist system in some far as opening markets to minorities for participation and government contracting opportunities in the South and Appalachian region.

The practice was institution by those supported the south in the civil war as retribution for the loss they encountered.

Slavery was never passed as a legislative policy on the federal or state level.

Dumb fck. How can you, with a straight face, mention Jim Crow laws, civil rights, segregation, voter's rights, the Civil War, etc., without realizing it was Democrats who prevented equality for blacks? Are you idiots so completely invested that you won't even investigate U.S. history? It was Republicans who set blacks free. Democrats fought it every step of the way.

The term, single payer, is a misnomer. The government, in effect, becomes your insurance company. It's about replacing private enterprise with government control. The end result is a doctor, with all of his or her skills, knowledge, and time, gets paid less than a dumb azz basketball player. A single payer is when a patient pays the doctor or hospital directly. One payer.
