You talk about intelligent conversations and you do not know the difference in set and sit? You continue to call people KKKcracker and mudderfuder and things like that? Face it little girl, you are just a Nine Mile Ho attempting to play with the adults. Talking to you on topix is about the same as going to the zoo and feeding the monkeys. At least you both have thumbs, about the only thing that makes you seem semi human.

People love to blame Bush when Blanco and Nagin failed to properly request Federal aid in a timely manner.
Many believed the immediate response from the city, state, and federal governments was inadequate, and Blanco later acknowledged there were failures on the part of her administration before and after the storm.
New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin was also criticized for failing to implement his evacuation plan and for ordering residents to a shelter of last resort without any provisions for food, water, security, or sanitary conditions. Perhaps the most important criticism of Nagin is that he delayed his emergency evacuation order until less than a day before landfall, which led to hundreds of deaths of people who (by that time) could not find any way out of the city.[2] Adding to the criticism was the broadcast of school bus parking lots full of yellow school buses which Mayor Nagin refused to be used in evacuation. When asked why the buses were not used to assist evacuations instead of holing up in the Superdome, Nagin cited the lack of insurance liability and shortage of bus drivers.
In a September 26, 2005 hearing, former FEMA chief Michael Brown testified before a U.S. House subcommittee about FEMA's response. During that hearing, Representative Stephen Buyer (R-IN) inquired as to why President Bush's declaration of state of emergency of August 27 had not included the coastal parishes of Orleans, Jefferson, and Plaquemines.[25](In fact, the declaration did not include any of Louisiana's coastal parishes; rather, they were included in the declarations for Mississippi[26] and Alabama.[27]) Brown testified that this was because Louisiana Governor Blanco had not included those parishes in her initial request for aid, a decision that he found "shocking." After the hearing, Blanco released a copy of her letter, which showed she had requested assistance for "all the southeastern parishes including the City of New Orleans" as well specifically naming 14 parishes including Jefferson, Orleans and Plaquemines.[28] Since the pdf of the letter is no longer available on the State of Louisiana website, the veracity of whether Blanco specifically named any parishes cannot be confirmed. OWN IT BYTCH!!!!!!!!!!
all of this for what? it was bushs baby and he threw the baby out with the bath water. OWN IT BYTCH!!!!!!!!!

A collector with 25 guns here, one in my pocket right now. None of my guns have killed or even been aimed at another person, however, the 357 in my pocket makes me feel better when I get a large amount of money out of the bank as I do about three times a week.

No need to cry over anything because of pointing out your obvious ignorance and lack of ability with the written word. It is sad when anybody is relegated to fifth grade level post like your above gem.

The simple truth about Katrina was the failure of two systems.(1) The state and local agencies and government had days of warning to plan on an escape route, this is one of the basic levels of service that state and local government provides. It is a proven fact that so many of the school buses were left in the flooded areas instead of providing transportation for the low income people to get out.(2) If you noticed most of the people left in New Orleans were the same people who never do anything for themselves but wait for others to do for them. I was in New Orleans last Friday and also in Hattisburg Mississippi where the tornado hit and I can tell you that there were many routs of escape before Lake Ponchatrane (Spelling ?) overflowed. Another problem that made the situation worse was the same type thought process that obama brings to the White House, "People, you do not have to do anything or plan for anything the Federal Government will be the basic provider".
