Is the Chpd told by chief, city mgr or city counsel not to report
To media serious crimes at mall. Shouldn't public be made aware
For their own safety or is sales tax paramount.

With the economy as bad as it is, everyone should be aware of the chance of crime this time of year. Malls are a big crime area to begin with. One needs to remember to hide all packages and valuables in the trunk and carry your keys in your hand for protection (I carry a concealed weapon at all times). The police are always minutes away when seconds count. Be safe, be aware, get off the cellphone and look around you. Travel with other people, bad guys are cowards and only pick on the weakest ones. To me, it's better to be in trouble for shooting a bad guy, then be a dead victim.
