When my AC unit went out I called Taylor construction and told them that I wanted a Train unit installed. They sent out their salesman and during the presentation informed me that they don't carry Train but only sell Rheem. I was reinsured that it was a great unit and would give me many years of use. Nearly 2.5 years later the heat would not work. I called them to do the service and the tech informed that the Reverser valve was bad. It would cost just over $1,000 to fix. I had just paid nearly $6,000 for the unit and thought this was not right. I called another tech and he discovered that the valve was fine but the air handler coils had a hole in it. He replaced the coils and the unit works fine. Taylor was going to replace a part that was in good working unit for $1000 and then turn around and replace the coils for another charge of probably well over $1000. Don't use them their tech didn't even weigh how much Freon he put in. If the tech doesn't have a scale to weigh the Freon container you will never know how much they put in. After letting him know that his tech did not perform the service call correctly and misdiagnosed the problem he still hit me with the service call charge.
The old saying still applys: "buyer beware."
Theres not much honesty left out here anymore. Chances are the "tech" would've pocketed the excess.
