I am telling you, this crap with kids these days is getting ridiculous. How in the hell does a parent not know that their child has gotten out. Maybe I am a light sleeper, but if my kids even make the smallest sound, I am up.

EXACTLY! And out "wonderful" government encourages it!
It's like, "Y'all go out and have sex all you want to and we'll supply the condoms. Don't worry about if something goes wrong 'cause we'll send you a check each month to take care of all expenses. Heck, we have enough working folks around, that pays taxes, to take care of y'all too."

A down right shame and disgrace to our country!!

Man!...WTH...How do you sleep that hard where yuou can't hear your door open? Especially when you have small children in the house. I don't understand it. Only if the caregiver is dead or in a coma should this be happening!!Please don't let this be another case of the child being left alone, or the parent(s)being high or drunk out of their head. When GOD said be fruitful and multiply...it was intended for everyone.

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? Where is Waldo, where is the damn parents for goodness sake? I just cant believe we are hearing of another child wandering alone. I have 4 children and there is no way they can open any door in my house and me not know it. I would love to make it 5 children with this little boy, i can assure you he would be loved by my wife and I as well as the children and family.

I love how they say "so we can reunite him with his family". Why don't they just say so we can charge his parents with neglect. For the sake of this boy I hope he's not reunited with his family. Damn shame!

This story is so sad. Hopefully he will find some parents who will love him in the future where he can grow up to be a great young man.

Wow, some people will relate anything to race! I am sure the police are considering, but have you all considered that maybe something happened to his parent(s). A 2 year old does not put on socks and LACE up his shoes, and he doesn't look neglected.

Maybe god was wrong or the interpretation is wrong. Some people should not be allowed to reproduce.

Any concerned parent patrols their houses multiple times a night. I dont care how much sleep I loose as long as I know that my babies are in their beds safe from harm.
Like a previous writer said, the parents are probably worried that they will be arrested but I would be more concerned about getting my child back. Deal with the legal effects later.

Another child who deserves better than the parents, family he was born to. How sad but thank God that he was picked up by the police instead of the wrong person.

This story of s child found wandering is utterly dispicable. I cannot imagine anyone having their toddler out there and not by now wondering where their child is; I hope the parents are found safe. However, this is not acceptable behavior for a parent. I can only say, "Thank God someone heard the chid and responded." Way too often people will hear and see things and turn the heads and not get involved. The person should be commended.
