Fire Trucks and Ambulances that are closest to the residents west of this bridge can not cross it and the respone time for those needing Public Safety assistance will be greatly increased. To read there is no funding source availble is no surprise but the significance of this issue may be understated.

You "teaheads" shouln't wait for the government to fix the problem, get your hats off and beg each other to build another bridge to nowhere.

Such appropriate comments by those without a clue. A serious issue to those that love their families and property and you turn it into a political issue. Maybe people need to stop running their mouths and begin looking for the real problems that need to be fixed instead of looking at the people with positions and not jobs. If we would do our jobs, you wouldn't have time to turn everything into a political event. Maybe the real issues would get fixed.

Everthing is a political event these days, even your comments.
Real issues get fixed? Never will it get fixed without money.
The more you fix the more it will cost you.

Save the children at hanover schools, ban fox(noise) channel.

Wait a minute, McDonald is from Northern Va. not as many boot, scooters as where Cree Deeds was from in South West Va. Get your facts straight before making an idiot out of yourself.

Now, at least, we have a full time Govenor and not one who must split his time between being the Chairman of the DNC and chief executive for Virginia.

By the way, Mr. not a teabagger, what did the last two deomcrat govenors do for the road conditions in Va.?

Do you mean that the children and parents in Hanover School District are too stupid to change the channel or turn the radio off? How many real issues got fixed under Timmy and Mark? It seems to me that most of the problems were in place when they arrived at Govenors St. in Richmond and were still there when they left. This one is a typical democrat political hack, Obama is doing the best he can to fix the mess left by Bush, however, McDonald is responsible for the complete mess in Va. on his first day in office. Somewhat of a double standard, don't you think?

The reality is this, no money! It does not matter what you think or how you feel about any subject, lots of money is needed to fix things.

People everywhere can do without fox(noise) and the nincompoops that it employs. We never really had this crazines until fox(noise) came on and promoted the gutter hate of beck, rush, hannity, greta, laura, o'reilly, and god knows whatever cretins hell could unleash. I'm not going to forget the new edition: "the moose grease wonder woman---palin."

So, allow me to get this one straight, you think that the air should be free of what you call the noise of Fox News? Perhaps you should remember that censorship in any form means censorship in every form. To put it another way censorship can be a two edged blade cutting just as deep every way it swings. Perhaps you should remember the people who have fought and died to protect our first admendment rights. I am not a fox news junkie, I am not a MSNBC junkie, however, each has the right and should have the right to broadcast. Now, as for the moose grease wonder woman, I wonder if you would rather listen to so many of the New York, New Jersey and California liberals call us the unwashed redneck southerners who seldom marry out of family? Whether you agree with Sarah Palin or not, this woman was elected govenor of a state and was one of the most popular govenors at the time of her VP run. Now, what have you done in compairson?

Thanks for the little memory lane talk. Points are well taken, considering how the constitution as some would say is not worth the paper it is written on.

I hope all of the people take note that the ones that fought to retain our freedoms
were not all americans. We had others outside of the usa lose their lives for the good of this country. So our gratitude and appreciation is extended to all those that saw a great nation rise from the dust in less than 200 years. Let us also not forget the ones that stayed behind an prayed for continuous victory.

Would you suggest that the freedom of speech clause be held up to protect haters and their hate propaganda? The fox(faux, noise) organization is a prime promoter of race-baiting and inciters of right-wing rallies and townhall civil discord. Seems like this is the kind of thing the americas is best known for in the world. The freeist nation on the planet, but can't get it together. It's very sad but true.

Now for palin, a true feminist poster child, a super-mom, super-woman, super-politician,
super-ex governor, super-beauty all rolled into one. She has all of the gawkers screaming just to touch the hem of her skirt. The hooks are in the noses of the unsuspecting fools. It's about the money and nothing more; remember she resigned in mid-term of her governance, hardly a fighter in the first round. She is rope-a-dope beauty queen coning the people right out of their money. A millionaire mom, charging $120,000 dollars for a simple 30-40 minute elbow macaroni speech. The devil is a liar.

Freedom of speech is one of the very basic rights to be protected. Without the ability of a person to burn the very symbol of this country, there would be no promise that we could worship in the way that we choose. It is much like the cases where the ACLU represented the KKK in courts for the protection of their rights. The lawyers representing these people most likely did not like either the defendants or the actions that they were defending, however, to deny them of any rights would be an act that would deny everybody of promised rights. Also, you must remember that one man's terrorist is another man's fredom fighter. Just as you find Rush Limbaugh evil in the nature of his words, many others felt the same way about Al Franken when he had a show on Air America. The same could be said for Randi Rhodes who also had a hate show (from the left) on Air America.

Now, as for Sarah Palin, her leaving the job of Govenor of Alaska is between her and her people in that state. If she were to run for the senate from that state we will find out how much she hurt her reputation there. You talk about the amount Palin gets for a speech, do you feel the same way about the fee Bill Clinton gets which is much, much more, per speech, than Palin receives?

The biggest problem facing this country today is there are far too many Republicans and Conservatives, as well as far too many Democrats and Liberals or as in the new term, Progressives and far too few Americans. One side is just as guilty as the other in placing party before country. United we stand, devided we fall.

I am a registered Republican who voted for Obama with many concerns, I voted for Obama because of the fact that McCain never got a message across and age was a factor. I am having problems with the Obama seemingly socalist agenda, however, I do not know if what he did was right or wrong. I also voted for McDonald because I did not feel Deeds was the man for the job and his campaign was just as poor as McCain's.

@ voice of reality:

You have hit the nail on the head. Thank you for being real and honest.

But there is one little smidgen of difference between former President Clinton and ex-governor palin. It's pretty obvious.
President Clinton served 2 terms, while ex-governor palin couldn't serve half her term.
