We saw these guys chasing each other through our neighborhood. We had no idea what was going on but they put people on our street in danger as well the way they were driving.

Why were four children out in the road? If they are playing in the road, they are too young to not be accompanied by adults. Where are they and they need to be held accountable.

First I'd like to say, I hope everyone involved in this accident is okay. I have made several attempts with the Chesterfield Police Dept to have speed bumps installed on our road. This request fell on deaf ears. How many accidents have to happen before action in taken by the county.

really so a gun dealer should be to blame when someone is shot.... NO!!!!!!! when you go to a bar or out to eat and you know good and well you have to drive you need to be a adult and know your limits, the people behind the bar have nothing to do with that.

Barry, I don't think a business needs to be liable for someone drinking too much. They do what they can as it is, i.e., cutting them off from more drinks, suggesting someone else drive... All we need are more lawsuits tying up the courts. People need to be responsible for themselves. That is what is wrong with America now

So no resposibility should be placed on the drunk driver speeding through a residential neighborhood? Lets get to the root cause here.... speed limits in neighborhoods are 25mph or less. I have seen drivers going as fast at 55mph, in a neighborhood this is pure negligence. Lets not forget that alcohol was involved. Know the neighborhood before you post

The bars should be more responsible when they think a person has "had enough" but unfortunately it is also about the money. I live in Salem Woods a neighborhood which was featured on the news and will have increased patrol and fines on two of their neighborhood roads in the near future. Why can't this neighborhood be more involved like we are?

They weren't playing in the road. The driver of the truck hit a parked car which pushed the parked car onto the sidewalk and into the children standing near the parked car. It wasn't like they were playing in the street or tried to cross it.

See.....everyone is so happy what the police did now....for chasing a man and doing a stand off with a man in a well populated area. Watch yourselves PD, they are on your side now, but one slip up not even your fault and they will pull you apart

what time?Yes the driver is of course liable for his actions. So that means the parents of these chilren should also be held liable.I see this daily, most of you worthless parents let your 5-10 year olds run the streets like its 1982 again. They are great when they are babies huh ladies?Yes its usually the fat trailer trash, section 8 welfare sucking people pulling this one but hey you gotta watch youre little tax deductions better then that.Lose a kid and they will deduct that from youre food stamps, well atleast until 9 months later.

Who are you people? These kids were outside at 10pm. Now more than ever I question the parents. Where the heck were they? Their kids should have been in bed or readying for bed. As for the driver being drunk...I certainly wasn't making excuses for him. If he was drunk, I'm sure the courts will handle that. I didn't see that he'd left a bar. You don't necessarily have to go to a bar to be intoxicated. I hope the parents are charged with neglect. We need to mop up on parents not watching out for their kids.
