I take back anything I said in earlier post. It sounds as though the missing Mom is possibly in danger. I do hope she is safe and soon found.

My heart and prayers are with Tameka and her family! May God's keep her safe if indeed she is in danger. And may God's guidence help the law-enforcement officals find Tameka, and soon!

Yes, hopefully everyone who is keeping up with this and criticized this woman's parenting behaviors understands the severity of the situation. Sometimes these days people are too quick to criticize other people (including the PRESS!!!!)

...My apologies again. I just assumed it to be another irresponsible parent out having too much fun - while leaving a young child behind with no adult supervision. I hope Tomeka is okay and knows
we are praying for her safe return.

I think that everyone needs to be a little more vigilant out there, wonder how long this child was "roaming" around before anyone actually called. My thought and prayers are with the family, that the mother will be found hopefully safe, and she can be reunited with her child. I also pray that the police will be able to quickly uncover what they need and find out what has happened, on what could be a horrible night.

When I read the posts yesterday and everyone ASSUMED that the parents were irresponsible, I actually thought out loud, "No one is even considering that there may be foul play at hand." It was just an automatic assumption that the parents were neglectful. I didn't comment, because I've seen just how nasty and hurtful people can be out here on these blogs. And then I saw the news last night and what I had thought was a possibility was, unfortuantely, confirmed. I'm not saying that there aren't neglectful parents out there, but I think we -- including myself sometimes -- have an awful habit of making assumptions and drawing the wrong conclusions about people and situations. What we ought to be saying is "there but for the grace of God go I". I pray that no harm has come to Ms. Claiborne and that she will be reunited with her family soon.

U know what they say when people ASSume things. Meka is a beautiful person inside and out. She does not deserve any of this. We hope that she is returned home safe. In in Jesus name, we ask that there is no hurt, harm, or danger towards her. You are loved very much and everyone will continue to search until you are reunited with your loved ones..

I hope they either find Ms. Clairborne's boyfriend, or he goes to the police on his own, it seems he must know something that could help locate her. Ms. Clairborne appears to have plenty of caring family in the area, including her son's father. I do not understand why the child is still with Child Protective Services. Seems he should be with the family.

While you are were blaming the mom, you should have been looking at that cracka that babysits the kid. Obviously, when Temeka didn't show up to pick the kid up, she put the kid on the curb; because she had something else to do. She should have simply dialed 911 and had them take custody of the child. No telling what dangers could have befallen the child, wandering around in the night.

Wow that is the most asinine thing I have heard. Why not just blame Canada for it to right??

He was not with a babysitter that time of night. As a friend of hers she picks him up from daycare everyday by 6pm so mind your business.

I was the child's teacher from the age of 8 months till 16 months. and there was never a thought in my mind that Ms Claiborne was not able to care for him. Eveytime the center called her to pick him up cause he was sick, she was right there. Parent teacher meetings, she was there. As soon as she hit the classroom door he would light up and run to her. she was a great mom.
