People are idiots who vote no on these taxes. They think the agency has enough money and needs to spend it better. I think they think that they are hurting the agency by voting no on this tax. That is not the case. The ones who they are hurting are the ones who use the system. If this tax goes back on the ballot, I will gladly vote yes on it and will ask everyone I know to vote yes.

Yeah, let's give all the criminals a free ride into town to steal from us while we're at work! Nice...Great idea...

No to any Metro tax increase!!!

Not only has the agency shown to be incompetent stewards of the taxpayers money, we do not need any more arteries for criminals to reach good, productive neighborhoods. Metro bus servive out St Charles Rock Road killed business at NW Plaza because of high crime.

Funny, I could have sworn I had seen busses at most, if not all of the malls around the area, and they don't seem to be getting killed off. But, have to agree with the no new taxes part.

Those who use the service should pay for it.

When gas prices go up, I pay more.

When my truck breaks down, I pay.

I am refuting these comments in the order they were written. I don't know if any of you have done research, but I have and it is to the benefit of us all to support this tax.

Metro and crime are not related. If more people would use it, there would be less crime-safety in numbers. You are not hurting the agency by voting no. You are hurting the people using the system and the St. Louis economy by voting no. People in other cities use and appreciate their mass transit systems. I highly doubt that Metro has brought to the demise of NorthWest Plaza. Metro goes out to Chesterfield Mall and West County Center and those malls are doing very well. Metro service has not brought the demise of those malls and I do not feel it had anything to do with NorthWest plaza. The service around the malls is only temporarily restored. If this tax passes, it will permanently be restored. I would gladly pay for a major boost to the St. Louis ecnonomy. It would also save you money if you used Metro.

It will be to everyone's benefit to pass this tax. I hope it passes and will be voting yes and asking everyone I know to vote yes.
