do we really need to spend 170 million dollars

Mike Herring, Chesterfield City Manager, emails me that he is elated about the 141 relocation project, putting Woods Mill a half-mile further east from Ladue to Olive, right, smack, TOTALLY through virgin forested wetlands.
Let me get this right: the whole world is protecting the environment, but Chesterfield is elated to spend 170 MILLION DOLLARS in stimulus funds, plus a 5million Chesterfield donation, to destroy 2 miles north/south and 2 miles east/eAst of untouched, natural wild acres of forested wetlands to build a highway duplicating a route a half mile away? Can you say irresponsible? Senseless? Useless? Extravagant beyond logic?
