I was wondering if Rookies is still open in Carlinville. I know they had some problems with underage drinking. I had some good times at that place.

Someone has bought it and is remodeling it. Looks like it is going to be pretty cool. Not sure when they are going to open but they look like they are finishing up

Another bar in that town just what they need so many now,so kids underage can get in,i feel bars should only be allowed to stay open till 10 through the week and 12 on weekends.

The town of Chesterfield is a eye sore,old houses ran down junk in the yards,old cars sitten around,yards not being mowed on a weekly basis,people just dont care any more,the ones that do care cant seem to get any help with this and makes the value of their homes low...the mayor is out for him self never falls through with what needs to be done....i see more every day where most of these places is where young kids or couples live in and dont have their priortys right.dont care...and are the ones who like to mparty and do drugs...what a shame ...whats this town coming to????another fidelity....slum area

Well, Bubba, these seem to be opinions that you have. I do not live in Chesterfield, but I do know the Mayor. He works with my husband. I happen to think he is a nice man. Also, the Lord tells us "Judge not, lest ye be judged".
The only person you are allowed to judge is yourself. I think you may spend too much time looking at the negative aspects of the areas you hate so much. My advice to you is easy. Do not go somewhere you hate. Stay in your bubble, for the world is an ugly, ugly place. You only have control of yourself. Make some friends, and do something you enjoy, if you can remember what it is.

well Carlinville Native.....If you know the mayor of Chesterfiekld he is a nice man but also a crook,who hung around with criminals such as Donnie Brown who had been in prison and they were all involved with breakin into Diamond Meat packers at one time stealin machinery and other things but the merchandise was not found on the mayors property.The mayor and his family (brothers&sisters)were the biggest trouble makers and thiefs i ever saw.if you remember back when the old hotel n bar was there they were all involvrd in a bar fight there where people were seriously hurt with blood on the sidewalks adn chains n tools were used,pitiful...Now u tell me how a man whith this kind of back ground got 2 be the mayor???He works at Prairie Farms and steals milk,cheese and other things to bring home.I bet if you go check his frig u mite be surprised what all u find......
