Shame on anyone crossing that picket line, employee or patron!

Good wages and benefits that almost all workers enjoy today were won by united groups of exploited workers that stood up for themselves.

I won't be back until it's settled!!!

.50 this year,.45 next year and .40 the 3rd year. Insurance dropped I think 1% or so. We would of got much more but it ended up being 25% cross and go back to work. They said was nervous and shaking at the meeting and said it would of been worse inside if those people had not crossed, Thanks to all the ones that stuck it out, at least we stood tall through it all.

I'm not big on unions but this union did the best that they could do, I applaud them, it's the ones that crossed that didn't help us, alot of them being 21 and just got this job. As for me I see what happens at Mountaineer, being there over 10 years. Don't get me wrong I love my and job and can't wait to get back.

I am a former asst. manager of food and beverage and you do not even want me to go into some of the unfair practices I have seen with all aspects of Mountaineer! I say it is time Ted started doing what he should for his employees and maybe if he took his numerous girlfriends off of the payroll and out of their cushy jobs, he could afford to do right by his employees. Their jobs and pays almost made me wish I had no morals so I could actually afford my cost of living when I worked there...and I was salary. What a joke. We all answer for our deeds...Ted will learn someday. Kudos to those of you who have braved going against Ted. I will keep you all in my prayers, you folks are the only thing I miss about that place.

Glad the strike is over, but we did not get a fair deal...MTR can do so much better. What a shame. I like the one posting about all of the unfair practices that go on at MTR. How true that is! If only the public knew about all the people who are on the payroll who shouldn't be just because they are Ted's buddies or girlfriends.(Not to mention all the politicians who are so often seen eating lunch in our employee breakroom~talk about shady characters. How ridiculous can you be? So, Ted got away again. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

I don't mean the ones who crossed should be "mistreated". I do believe that they failed their union. If a union has no solidarity, union dues are a sham and waste of money. The contract is the result of a failed strike.

When I lost my job a few years back, I was crushed. I worked my ass off and so did the staff who worked for me. They kept another assistant who admitted to using pot to me, she repeatedly called off (I worked her shift...everytime), and I feel the only thing that saved her was the fact that she partied with the uppers. My boss was known to use the hotel rooms as a meeting place for men she would meet online...she was also having affairs with someone from H.R.. So when these two were asked why our Dept. was failing...do you think they gave the "real" reason. I was laid off...not them. There were countless other offenses...managers getting caught on camera, passed out with their skirt up. Drugs...alcohol...everyone sleeping with everyone. I was even asked by my boss what type of relationship I had with a fellow manager, because he was black. I felt like a failure for many years because of the loss of my job. I can hold my head up...I worked hard and was honest.
