Those workers should strike. With the amount of money they take in you would think that they would be able to pay their workers. I had an "incident" at the resort at the beginning of the month and it took an e-mail and three phone calls for someone from "legal" to call me back and they were not willing to give so much as a free night in the hotel as compensation for injuries that happened due to negligence on their part. I say Wheeling Island all the way!!!!

I have found the striking workers to be friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoy playing at Mountaineer but won't cross picket lines. Good health benefits is a must for employees at a reasonable rate. I know the casino can afford to pay 100% health benefits since they certainly don't mind paying the fines every month for having their slots payouts so tight. Support the workers please and don't cross picket lines.

if that is true (what Kathy Brown states) and Mountaineer is paying fines for having tight slot machines month after month, isnt it up to the state to shut them down for being in continual violation? Maybe our beef shouldnt be with Mountaineer, but with the state that is regulating this
