People in the United States want to either fly somewhere quickly or they want to go there in their cars. If the Feds want to spend money on something, maintain and widen the highways. This high speed rail garbage is NOT NEEDED AND NOT WANTED! It would be a MAJOR WASTE OF MONEY!!!

The property values for chester have been destroyed by 288 running through Centrallia and the noise from this highway and the Stench from the local land fill which you can smell miles away.
Now they want to bring more waste from other states and raise the speed on 288. More Noise and more Stink. So THEY WILL build the train.

Build it, make it affordable to ride and I will park my car and enjoy the scenery.

Waste of money! They will spend billions on a train that will only benefit a few. Doesn't make much sense to me. The only winners are the companies that will get these govt. contracts which will over charge and make millions. Not smart, go back and think of another way to waste my hard earned money.

How do you know I want to drive? Quite honestly I DON'T. You can pay $4.00 plus for a gallon but I won't.

Is there a map available that shows exactly which properties may have to be taken over or affected? Everyone needs more details before this is voted on/approved/whatever

So how do you people of this commonwealth feel about the idea of Fort Pickett near Blackstone, VA being converted into an outlying landing field for the Navy jets stationed at Naval Auxillory Landing Field Fentress and Naval Air Station Oceana!?
