Founder hopes pageant will spur black teens to strive for more in life

The executive director of Teens United For the Future hopes a new pageant will help inspire black teenage girls in Chester to go to college.

I PERSONALLY AM RELIEVED THAT SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS THE STRUGGLE THAT YOUNG AFRICAN -AMERICANS GO THROUGH TO TRY AND KEEP THIER HEADS UP; AND TO HAVE SOMETHING POSITIVE TO DO AND LOOK FORWARD TO DOING!!

isn't this against the civil rights act or something. black girls are even winning miss france pageants, why is this needed. a pageant should be for all colors.
