I live next door. We just got notice the other day that the hasidics are looking into buying the land. They came by not soon after asking what we'd sell our house for. I'd rather the homeless, for the most part they kept to themselves. Where one thousand transients used to live, we'll now have ten times that stacked on top of each other in even worse conditions. There goes the neighborhood.

Where will the records of Camp LaGuardia
be held once it's closed? I have been trying to find information on my grandfather who was (according to his last letter) sent there by the state of NY to recuperate after submitting to expermintal tests (his words)in June 1960. He quite possibly died while living there as his last letter to the family indicates he weighed only 102 lbs. and he was over 6ft tall. I have never been able to find out when & where he died and was buried. If anyone knows what the Camp did when a person living there died during the 1960's I would very much appreciate it.
