Animal struck on Mass. highway was rare wild boar

This was no ordinary road kill. State police say a 200-pound Russian wild boar was euthanized after being struck by a vehicle on Route 2 in Lancaster this week.

BTW, if the hog was euthanized via lethal injection, it should never have been offered as bait/food for ANY purpose. Anything that eats it, including crows, vultures, coyotes, wayward dogs, mountain lions <g> will ingest the euthanasia solution and become ill or die. Not cool, DFW!

The way they euthanize is with a chunk of lead to the brain.
