this is ludicris
typical intelligence of that area
you want to see what a real wind farm looks like copy and paste the link below into your web browser
oh no on second thought you won't even bother to research something you know nothing about
i've stopped to photograph these wind turbines in california there must have been 100 of them
i heard nothing
no sound
no hum
no whirring
no noise
so i have no idea what these idiots are talking about
you people don't want progress you just want to stay in your stoneage existence

Perhaps before you call people from this area names, maybe you should try a simple class in punctuation and maybe even 3rd grade English.
They DO make noise, they DO hum, and you would need NINE THOUSAND wind turbines to produce the same amount of energy that come from ONE nuclear power plant.
And your wikipedia reference? Wow. Really showing your true colors. Only college kids use that as a reference, since it's NEVER fact checked and can be edited and written by ANYONE.
I highly suggest you do YOUR research (and no, wikipedia does NOT count as research) before you spew out uninformed comments.

dude first off i'm originally from that area
i'm not worried about your opinion, punctuation or english
i spoke very clearly and my reference is for illustration purposes only
as i stated i HEARD NOTHING and i was surrounded by a hundred windmills IN OPERATION
so take your opinion and stick it where the sun don't shine thank you
it only substantiates my position on the intellectual characteristics of your area:
get all booty hurt boo hoo hoo
hey if the shoe fits wear it
if it don't let it slide off your back
oppose everything
resist progress
fear the unknown
cry the sky is falling
hate and envy those who left, expanding their horizons and got a better objective on everything
HA your pathetic

Well, since this article is quite old, I don't know of the outcome. BUT, I can say, like the first poster, I was in the middle of the windfarms in Southern California on a roadtrip recently and heard nothing but the wind. While these may not provide a picturesque image of the landscape I think we all love, it is one I personally would feel much prouder about than a strip mine, nuclear reactor, or oil burning facility. This uses a resource which we not only get for free, but would get paid for. Further, I believe if the residents and company sat down together, there are ways that the impact could be mitigated to better support the natural plant and animal life.

Just my 2 cents.

Yo guys!! cool off- think about it - Do you want to keep paying big $$$$ for gas - or find other ways of getting energy. I'm not saying to put one of these on your car - I'm saying that we need to change and find new ways of using energy resources. With technology today I'm sure we can address some of the noise and other issues with the wind turbnes.
