I knew right away as a child that I was not going to get much At Xmas. What is with all the hand wringing about how to tell your kid you are broke? Life is a S--t sandwich. Take a bite! Live within your means, and this scenario won't happen very often. Teach savings not spending!

i'll be the religious nut. easy, teach them what Christmas is. the perfect gift of forgiveness given to us in Jesus Christ. a celebration that this gift was given to each and every one of us and is the greatest gift of all from a merciful God. believe it or not, if that is what is important to you, it will be just as important to your children.
