brother in prison in loretto

please can anyone tell me anything about the loretto prison.my brother is in the prison there.are there a lot of gangs. we worry about him alot. we can not afford to go see him alot.we are from kentucky.please pray for him and are family.thank you and GOD BLESS YOU ALL that respond.

I work for the federal prison system here in PA. Not Loretto, but not to far away. Federal prisons aren't like State or County prisons. There aren't a whole lot of problems. Good luck

I have a brother in jail too. now he is in north carolina, but he going to Loretto soonand like you I am very worried for him, he's a good boy and is my only brother. Put him in your prayers and that God protect and care for your brother.if you know anything about jail let me know please ..

The prison guard spoke truly-- Federal prison, especially a low security facility like Loretto FCI, poses little if any risks to your family member's physical safety.
I have a younger brother there and he has been there over a year now. Tell your family member to show all inmates/guards equal respect, mind his own business, do his own time and never engage in gambling or drug activities. Those type of things will get a guy in trouble with others if they can't pay their debts...
He shouldn't make friends with the guards EVER (be polite, stay out of trouble) and he shouldn't make friends with other inmates UNTIL he's been there a while and gets to know "who is who." Mostly everyone hangs with their own race and that's by choice, not necessity.
Child molesters and gays have it rough all over and in fact, Loretto has a lot of molesters. They get verbal abuse but they're not physically harmed (like in State or country prisons). Also, nobody likes a snitch so tell him to keep his mouth shut and to practice walking the other way. He don't ever know anything about anybody but his own self. "Snitches get stitches and wind up in ditches."

Please tell me who can help my grandfather who is in Loretta prison and needs surgery but no one is telling him when the surgeon will come! He is old and I am only 9 yrs old so how can I talk to someone there --- I love my grandpa very very much:(

Saw your post tonight and wanted to comment.
I was in Loretto for 7 months on tax evasion charges in 2007-2008.
Loretto is safe for most people, no one ine there wants trouble. Most guys get along and dont hurt each other...like a big reform school for grown-ups.
Medical care is good there, your grandfather will be cared for.
Please write back and let me know how he is doing.

Thank you for your kind words about my grandpa. He has not had surgery as of yet. You wrote that they would help him.... But no one has. The guards are nice but no doctor has helped him. Why? Please anyone can you tell me who should I or my mother talk to? I am 12 yrs old now but very very sad,
