I was just a small kid in a small SC town...late 60's there was a strangler on the loose in and around Gaffney,SC...I lived in a small town-Chesnee--not far from there. Does anyone remember this case and how many people were killed? I know they caught the guy---don't remember his name. I was small but I can remember my parents would not let us out of their sight at the time. Thanks

You are talking about Lee Roy Martin.He killed 4 women in 9 months in 1967.There is a book by John Boyanoski - "Ghosts of Upstate South Carolina".I got this info from www.ghostvillage.com/community.com Hope it helps.
