Maybe they will get smart and not hire him (Pisani) as a regular officer. The whole family is kooky....

Cars have black boxes just like airplanes. This cop is so screwed, if he was speeding. Black boxes do not lie. It will tell exactly how fast he was going before he slammed in to Ashlie and Dave.

See? I told you they'd check the video cams from nearby parking lots. I also told you they'd check the black box. 1)WRONGFUL DEATH LAW SUIT agains the cop. 2)Lawsuit against the City of Milford.

This never would've happened if that teen driver were responsible. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know you don't cut in front of a car coming in the opposite direction. DUH! Sheer stupidity!

They would have made it across the post road if the cruiser wasn't speeding. At 3;00 am, the traffic lights flash. The cop shouldn't have been drag racing his cop buddy.

Your a fool and no one should have to read your foolish "made-up" comments. Really? you know what happened, you could save the state a lot of $ with the investigation. Don't put the familes of everyone invovled though your living in your parents basement shut-in thought process.

wow Shoreline Shiksa. First I thought...hmmm...she's the grammar patrol....then I thought, well she has a point. Then I read your final comment and you lost all credibility. How is a comment like that helpful? Grow up.

Don't put the familes of everyone invovled though your living in your parents basement shut-in thought process. Quite a few commenters have mentioned this in the last week. So I would not totally discount the possiblity. I have personally witnessed police officers ignore basically every traffic law, on a weekly basis. I have respect for what they have to do, but I also realize you can hang that freaking phone up and pay attention to the road in front of you. If you wanna see what the cruiser can do, ask the chief to take it to a track.

regardless of what happened, just remember everyone.....the truth will come out. it always does. don't argue with each other over stupid crap. the bottom line is 2 young kids are dead and 2 families are in horrible pain. let's spend our time praying for them and being grateful that our kids and families are safe.....this should be a wake up call, not a chance to rip each other apart

yes lets test the cop, genius...connecticut residents realllly hates cops dont they?...btw pisani is eligible to be hired?? hes hired already, probationary doesnt mean you are eligible to be hired..only a fine liberal connecticut newspaper like the ct post could make an error regarding police and their procedures, cause like the rest of the state they sure hate their cops!

I belive the cop will share fault for this, loose his job and be charged for a crime. I also belive the two teenagers, although sadly passed away, will share fault in this as well. The 2nd cop, Pisani, if found to be speeding too, should not be hired as a full time officer in Milford.

Has anybody else noticed an increase in the number of Milford PD speed traps since this accident? It's like they're trying to send a warning against speeding, which may (emphasis on may) turn out to be sadly ironic

It's like they're trying to send a warning against speeding, which may (emphasis on may) turn out to be sadly ironic The MPD has utilized radar to deter speeding on my street on a regular and consistant basis for the 15 years I've lived here. This is nothing new, much like the conspiracy theorists here who postulate based on rumor, innuendo, and speculation then post their X-Files hypotheses. Sometimes you see them, sometimes you don't, but both are usually around.

CT residents are tired of the power trip that the police are on. It is abuse. I have seen their excessive speed on the post road. I've have been pulled over for no reason. I have friends that have had their cars illegally searched by the West Haven police. I would say that they need the brakes put on their behavior, in more way but on. There should be some recourse for citizens. Because their isn't, when one of the gets caught, and put in the spot light, we want justice.

I have noticed the MPD stepping it up in the last several MONTHS - going back to the times of the budget issues. My neighbors have said the same thing. It has nothing to do with this tragic accident.

Maybe they are trying to issue enough tickets to pay for the giant lawsuit that they now have hanging over their heads. Someone should be policing the police.
