Lets see Russell has a good chance but should you really mix politics and religion. My grandfather always told me not to. How many people are running for council and who? Also to many family members on council is a bad thing too.
I don't see where you'd be mixing them just because he's a preacher. I seriously doubt that there'd be any topics coming up in Marmet Council that would involve a conflict between the two. It's not like there are abortion clinics in town or anything like that. It would be a damn shame for the town to let someone of quality like Terry miss out on an opportunity to help guide this town because of this.
Remember, the Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, not absence of religion. It was designed to let you worship the way you want without government telling you what to believe, not to strip you of the right to believe.

An arrest does not mean a conviction. Still innocent until proven guilty in this country. Just ask Richard Jewell or Paul Kevin Curtis. Innocent people are arrested and later released and charges dropped all the time.

You don't get convicted if you have your grandparents money. Winnell Has been arrested on more than one occasion for fighting and will continue I'm sure. The FACTS are ARRESTED., who needs not to be a deciding vote for our town. That's my opinion and my right. So people deserve to know the truth.

Draft: the problem with church/politics doesn't come from the issues. It comes from members of their church having too much say in how things are run. That's a problem we have now with our current mayor. I like Terry, I think he's a good man. But I doubt I vote for him. Town council requires you to make hard choices sometimes, that aren't always popular but they are needed. Terry may be too soft hearted for that and there's the church thing.
I'm definitely voting for Travis. He's the perfect mix of fair, straightforward but still has a good heart. He will be perfect. McGhee makes the short list. He took a stand on things when no one else did. You know what you got, so I respect that. Dickens is a no. He's too quick to lose his temper without thinking things through. I like the guy, but not for council. Tardy will probably get my vote. I don't always agree with him, but he seems pretty straight. Jake, absolutely not. Debbie, maybe. Wynter, I just don't know. I'm really on the fence.
The one person I will not vote for is Bill Pauley. This town has spiraled down during his time. Hes just too old and isn't willing to move us forward. We desperately need a change.

For recorder, I will be voting for Tamny. Jill has just been involved in too many of the mayor's shady deals over the years and has gotten too many personal favors. Sorry, but that's not who I want taking care of our books.

I agree with voter's assessment. I'll add that I am not voting for Ronnie Wilson. Nothing personal, but he's been in Bill Pauley's pocket too much. That's the wrong direction for Marmet. We've gone backwards too long. Its time to move forward for a change.
I'm strongly considering Hoop Humphrey. He seems to have a lot of the same values/qualities as Travis Walker. And he's not a politician. I think its time to get some new, younger ideas and get rid of all the "good ol boys." IMO

If your going to be in politics get used to your name being out there and people talking about you and wondering who you are . Also your past will be brought up and who you are and your family and where you come from and your beliefs. Get used to it or don't get involved in this little crooked town.

You keep mentioning the Fontalbert's money. Yes they appear to have money because they have worked hard and run successful businesses in Marmet for decades. That's what is suppose to happen when you spend your time and work hard, it's called reward. Sounds to me like your nothing more than a jealous hater and you covet what they have. Despite your accusations there is no proof that "the rich" buy their way out of trouble, just look at Martha Stewart. Do you even work or are you one of those people that sit around and collect welfare and food stamps and then whines about how much more you think rich people should take care of you?

People, People: think about this, if that wynter chick had been convicted of all these domestic charges, do you think she would be working in a GUN STORE every day, that would be a FEDERAL CRIME that involes her and her grandparents.

Lets get back on task on here. Yes...Bill MUST GO! If you don't get out and vote and vote for anyone but him, then don't open your mouth and complain about anything in this town. He has fought and blocked anything decent for this town for years. We will NEVER get better until he is out of office! And vote his cronies out too. We know who they are (Jill, Ronnie and Dickens). Its our only hope, people!

I don't know of anyone that is a felon. My pick for council would be Wynter Winnell, Travis Walker, Jerry Mcghee, and Debbie Skeens. Those four people are for the town and the people in the town. We need a change in Marmet. Out with the old in with the new.

I heard there would be. Sometime in May, I think. This year looks like a tight race, but I'm hopeful they'll be BIG changes coming to Marmet!
