For anyone that didn't know the great town of Belle's city council raised the water bill by 30% only for Belle residents. If you live across Bridge it goes down. That also raises your sewer bill since it is based on your water. Now, the way I look at it is we are drinking the same water as Kanawha county what makes Belle's water so much better. And what is the fine town doing with all the extra money they are making off the fine town of Belle residents. I haven't seen any improvements or updates. Where's our money going? Yes you can say if you don't like it move and that's just what I plan to do. This ain't Mayberry and No Cox ain't Andy. And I isn't worth my hard earnd money to have to be paying extra. I feel like the town is taking from its good residents. Some are elderly and live off what little extra they get it just isn't right.

No one cares about your propaganda.
Also, any raise of rates on the water has to be approved by the the PSC and then the residents have to be notified of said rate increases. The town has no authority to do it on their own.

You live in Cannelton, so what is your business with the TOB fool?

It's the first of the month, take your foodstamps and go soda pop and potato chip shopping. Go, be gone.

You may not like their response to your nonsense but they are correct. The town of Belle, and council members have no say at all in the the water rate. That is requested by the water company and needs to be approved by the public service commission. The Town currently has a sewage treatment plant and can set the rate for that, and they did raise the rate on that a few months ago.

It was approved by the towns council. I noticed a increase and Bell south water company told me Belle raised the rates not them. The extra money we pay goes to the town of belle. Fact call them if you don't belive

I don't need to call anyone, I go to all the council meetings and have some knowledge of how utilities in this state get their raises. What is this Bell south water company that you called? This whole area, Belle included is serviced by West Virgina American water Company

If you go to town meetings then you know the town of belle raised the water bill by 30%. And no I don't get a wailfair check I get taxed and I work hard for my money . I just don't think it is right that witchercreek drinks the same water as belle but we are charged more for it. My question is what is the town doing with are extra money they are getting for the increase? I haven't seen any improvements or up dates. May bee they gave Cox a raise.

"May bee" you should re-attend Belle Elementary and learn to speak and spell so "are" friend Tinker Belle won't have lose his/her job and have to rely on a "welfair" check. Also, leave us fine folks of "withchercreek" out of this.

Well this is going no place. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. The town did raise the sewer rate, which they have control over, but they can't and did not raise the water rate. It is a shame that something this simple in the day to day business of a local government and you are clueless. But take it to heart, you are not alone. Sadly. Peace out, I am done with this.

What if you paid the rates of Malden PSD? We were supposed to have this system paid for in 30 years, starting in 1978....We are way past that deadline, and still paying out the as*. Mine is on Average $75.00 a month JUST FOR SEWER... depending on the basic water use....
