Dale O'neil should have NEVER been out of prison. He had no right to take my sisters life and he has no right to have a life himself. WV needs to have the death penalty especially for murderers...ESPECIALLY FOR MURDERERS WHO CONFESS!
My sister was a loving mother, daughter and sister...we miss her VERY MUCH!

My daughter Kathy did not deserve with this convicted rapist and attempted murder did to her. He should NEVEr have been released from prison and deserves the death penalty, but since our state does not have that it is the mission of her family to make sure that Dale Shawnessy O Neil spend the rest of his life in prison and is senteced as such to life in prison without mercy.

I worked with Connie about 20 years ago (Swensen's). I think I met Kathy once or twice, but when I heard the story on the news, I didn't know who it was until I read Joyce's comments in the newspaper. I am very sorry for what happened to Kathy...I am sure the senselessness only adds to your already overwhelming pain...I can't imagine you will ever fully get over this, but I do hope that one day your family will find some peace...

I heard on the news today they may drop the charges against this guy over a clerical error!! Are they serious??!!!

Clerical error vs. signed confession...I am all about human rights, but not at total abandon of all common sense!!

Patty - in paper today, it is stated that a clerical error such as that can be amended with no problem.

I will be praying for justice--although I am not sure any punishment is enough, but we know that God will judge him in time....Keep your faith---cling to that and you will get through this...We don't always understand His plan, but we must have faith in His judgement..I suggest you read TD Jakes sermon on the "power of the shut door"...It may help you with the "why??"--at least a little...Just keep believing and have faith---

I am trusting that God will see to it that Dale Shawnessy O'neil never will be released from prison again. It is hard going back to court time and again...But we need the prayers and the support of all to help us keep this man behind bars.
The next hearing is Jan. 5. 2007 and it is on the fact that Dale was found fit to stand trial...his attorney is fighting the doctors findings. So we need prayer before hand that the finding of the doctor will stand.

i really am thankful that everyone is still remembering the awful thing dale oneil did to my sister we need all of you to keep this fresh in your minds and in your prayers until he receives life with out mercy, they are doing everything possible to extend this process. my family and i need closer and my sister deserves justice!!!! my mother, sister connie and myself will not rest until this animal is away for life until his death!

Jeni, my sister is correct. We not rest until this (man) is put away for life. Life without mercy. We miss Kathy very much and this has been very hard on our family. Every step seems to be allowing more rights for Dale Oneil than for Kathy. BUT we know that God will see to it that Justice is given.
Please pray for out family and pray that this can finaly be put to rest in May when the trial is. Please do not ever forget my sister. Kathy was a remarkable lady with a smile that would penetrate your heart.

We go back to court May 9 We have no idea who our prosecuting attorney is. It seems we are fought at every turn but I know my God will see us victoriously throught to the end. Please pray for our family that our faith will not faulter and Gods Grace will sustain, as we know it will.

We will be going back to court Aug 28 and I can not express how very much everyones prays and thoughts are appreciated.
I do not understand why we are going to trial since Dale Oneil has confessed but I know God will give us the victory over whatever it is this murderer expects to accomplish by going to trial.
