This would be a great opportunity to combine fd's. I hope the town looks into this. Give the area to cedar grove, the town could save lots of money.

I agree, besides there are too many friends of friends and family that do not need to be on this fire dept.,or the fire dept.board. Start cleaning it all up. Where are the trucks, etc? Up by the chief house right? Where is the rescue? Bet it is at his friends house right? Just guessing.

Really name calling, I mean everyone has an opinion. But, yours must be the right one huh,What an idiot? Just asking but I am an idiot also. You must be a friend, member or family to know so much about what is going on inside the fire dept, because half the residents don't know the answers.

. Agreed Wow Wow. The residents are always the last to know anything with the town. Heard they only had like 10 members anyway. Why build a new station for 10 members.

If you want to know what's going on about the Town. Go to town council meeting, if you want to know about the Fire Department how about joining. Get off your a$$ and volunteer your time. Those guys put countless hours in to protect your lazy a$$. There are 15 members and to combine departments that's funny. Apparently you don't know laws, to be an incorporate town you have to have a fire department. So with that being said which town has the most money in the bank accounts? CG or Glasgow, I know. So I guess CG will be the suburbs to Glasgow. Oh by the way, your asking about the fire trucks. You forgot to ask where the other fire truck is, the boats and water truck. Take time and ask one of the firemen they know cause they are active in your community unlike you sitting on your a$$ playing on a computer.

Just because a town is incorporated it does not have to have a fire department. Cities and towns often sign agreements as well as contract with other cities, towns, and incorporated fire departments for protection in areas. This would be a great time for the communities of Cedar Grove and Glasgow to come together and build one fire station that could serve both areas. One must ask, how practical is it to have two fire departments within a rocks throw of one and other?

The truth is it comes down to the personalities that operate the fire departments. Most are concerned about the name or brand that they offer and not the "for the better of the community". The combination of the departments will never happen due the many personalities that operate both departments.

Dirty Tactics don't build Fire Stations, and neither will 15,000. Go get your repair on. Keep tryin, I'm mean cryin, but a new fd isn't going to happen. Every time you speak, you dig your hole deeper. Have you seen the survey stakes for the new station across the creek? Building a station and running your calls, that's a fact jack.

Better hope you are using prevailing wages when building that new station "across the creek". If not we will pay you a visit.

Actually you may want to reread your state laws defining townships. Class 4 townships can combine any departments as long as it is beneficial to both townships. You only need a vote by both councils, and then both towns must agree on the details, of the deal.
As far as money in the bank, Glasgow does have more, however CG deposits more per year. CG just has higher expenses than Glasgow.
But no worries, CG and Glasgow both are operated on internal cliques, and neither clique would be willing to compromise.

I post this next tidbit of information to snap power hungry misinformed people back to reality thinking they are more than they really are.
§8-15-6. Dissolution of volunteer fire company.
Whenever the governing body shall ascertain that such company has failed, for three months successively, to consist of twenty effective members, or shall ascertain that it has failed for a like period of time to have and keep in good, serviceable condition an engine, hose or other proper equipment, such governing body shall declare such failure and by order dissolve the company.

Glasgow hasn't had 20 members for several yrs, leadership ran them all off. Guess that means dissolving should be in the near future. Think I will go ahead and start mailing my donation to Cedar Grove.

Chief 7 appoints his officers, CGVFD let's their members vote...Glasgow has a bunch of gun slinging hillbillies that go on calls under the influence and have no business caring for others...cedar grove has structure and takes good care of their equipment and they are always training to better them selves...not to mention cedar grove gets a call they 90% of the time have a full crew out of the station in under 2 minutes...they take pride in what they do...cedar grove is also paying 100% for the new station and they have saved up half a million to give it a good start...by winter of next year they WILL be in the new station...Glasgow is trying to get it done for them for free...they have very few members...slow response times...and 1/2 the time a fire truck responds to a call with 1 person driving it....wth is he going to do by himself lmfao...anyways let the boys cut down trees all they want as long as they feel like they are doing something...hopefully their doors will be shut soon and the town of Glasgow can be rest assured that CGVFD will take good care of them...

Guess you might want to check your comments stated. They are all untrue ask the departments to show financial records, training records and fleet records. Both are good departments and it seems to me someone is jealous. LMAO
