The Urbanna Oyster Festival tradition, which was started by a dozen or so local merchants and "town fathers" in 1958, continues this Friday and Saturday, November 6-7. Just another party for all the drunks!! Been there one to many times. Kinda gets old looking at the changes that have been made since the good old days. I remember when it used to be fun with all kinds of rides and such for the children. Now all you see is over-priced food and a bunch of drinking , as well as people acting like fools and going to jail, not mention the price to park!

I DONT KNOW WHAT FESTIVAL YOUVE BEEN GOING TO "NOT IMPRESSED" BUT, THE OYSTER FEST IS NOT A DRUNK FEST! IT KEEPS URBANNA ALIVE AND SUPPORTS THE TOWN WHICH IS THERE ONCE THE FEST IS GONE! AND THERES ALWAYS BEEN RIDES THERE, AND IVE BEEN GOING EVERY YEAR FOR 24 YEARS!
