Is there anyone on here who truly believes Chesapeake is a good community? There seems to be a lot of talk but no action for change!

Exactly. In a way, Chesapeake is a lot more decent than a lot of other local places. However, the town is getting a bad reputation. Due the literally lazy poor people. There are people out there who really work hard who just ended up with a cruddy job or got cut from their jobs and the poor people who don't work give those good types a bad name. It's ridiculous. That's one thing that should be fixed... Then again, that's not really limited to Chesapeake. Our whole country is like that.

Maybe our town would physically look better, if more people would actually volunteer to fix it up or clean it up every now and then. More people could offer to paint a public building or help decorate for special occasions, quit vandalizing the park and all that. You know?

Finally a great idea. If a responsible person would be in charge and work along with the mayor volunteers would be happy to help.

Sadly though... It seems that all of the real responsible people are actually out there getting work done and taking care of their families... Having legitimate reasons why they can't help. Whereas all of the least busy people are probably sitting around getting wasted while waiting for their government assited checks and all.-- I know, not all people who need help do this. Some people who really need it actually do try and use it to get back on their feet.

Perhaps... Maybe some of the teachers at our schools can consistently throw in quick tips on student's free time... About respecting their neighborhoods and the people around them.
Hopefully some parents can do the same.
