Those kids are called weight exempts, and every league has them. Last years C-team struggled because they only had 2 weight exempts and just about every team they played had 6 or more. I wished we did have a B-team and Chris Perry tries everyday to get kids play, but it's not the kids, parents, coaches,or the boards fault. That's just the way the TSYFL is lined up. That is why there is a weight exempt rule. Again I hate that some kids don't get to play because of no B-team, and I'm not on here running my mouth, please don't take it that way. I am just trying to explain why those kids stayed on C-team.

and too the person who was bashing the board member about not working maybe u need too see a copy of the persons medical records before u bash anybody thank u and have a nice day

Looks like the league (the tri-state league) needs restructuring or they need to get out and join the ironton league

If you dont like the way things are with the league, then save your money you are so worried about and don't sign up. If you want your child to play so badly transfer them to another school. Which i doubt there will be much difference at all. The money you spend and yes it is somewhat expensive, makes it worth it to see how good our kids look in the uniforms. The coaches are great with the kids, there are a few here and there that arent as good as the other but thats how it is going to be ANYWHERE you go. Maybe football isnt the sport for you. If you feel its too much then dont play! Instead of you getting on here to gripe and complain and talk about people be grown about it and say to their face. Try sucking it up and be an adult and try not acting like a gossiping teenage girl!

My guess is you should probably learn to spell turf bowl before you complain about it. I always enjoy the parents of youth football. " the parents of fall". Bahahaha you prissy mom's thinking you have the next Manning brothers or the next touch down super star. You pile on your make-up pack up your mini-van - dress the lil sisters & brothers in all the "lil sibling" garb. Dads relive their youth. It can't be just about a boy want to play football can it? It has to be so much more. Getting all made cause someone else is coaching your lil darling.... Good lord you people are pathetic.

Funny! You just judged someone for not spelling correctly yet you put "made" for "mad"!!!
And what's wrong with dressing in our purple and cheering our kids on? Are you jealous cause you missed out in your youth!

You are right I added an "e" see I can say that cause I don't try to be perfect. I don't recall judging.

If your going to be a baby then keep you and your kids at home. Is it the youth football programs fault that they are building a new facility? NO! But at least when your children are in middle school and high school they will have a safe and appropriately made field to play on where the field will be the correct size and the track wont be so close to the field so they won't hurt themselves. You as parents set horrible examples to your children and others. You whine and complain about every little thing. IDK how coaches are able to coach children anymore b/c you have mommy and daddy not wanting their child to get yelled at or punished for doing wrong or acting up at a practice or game how are this generation of children going to make it in the world when they won't be able to handle a boss jumping down their throat one day b/c mommy and daddy aren't there to protect them. So what do parents do.... Oh my we have to pay this much money? Well you know what the registration fee goes for each and every year the shoulder pads and helmets have to be reconditioned for YOUR children's safety and this takes money if you can't pay the amount im sure if you approached the league president and told him your situation it would be waived. I have seen it be done many times. But no your the people who are so prideful as to hide behind a computer screen name and bash people. Well let me tell you money is tight everywhere it is not just affecting you but for some reason only a few have to act so unreasonably b/c things don't go the way they want it to!! Grow up parents be respectful to people to them and behind them even if you don't care for them, set good examples for your children. Yes Im sure you will want to know my name well it is Jacob Wells and I am sure you will see me at games and practices when I can volunteering my spare time to help the youth of Chesapeake to help better out community just like all the other VOLUNTEER coaches, league president and board members. But if you feel the need to say something to me about this post then do it to my face b/c i have read enough about how awful my family and father is on this website. And about how my life has been nothing but a handout well it hasn't been and if you would like to know my story then ask me about it. Oh and yeah before you beat me to the punch I know I was such a lazy player in high school and didn't deserve anything! But no matter how rude and disrespectful some people may be I will always be a PANTHER and when I was young ALL PANTHERS stuck together no matter the circumstance b/c in small communities negative things spread like wild fire and in this community that is not what we need. Come on people of Chesapeake you are all sooo much better than that! GO PEAKE!

Would you be referring to why you got to be a running bsck or a wide reciever when you should have been a lineman.Enough said.

Grow up!

700 yds in 6 games must have averaged 120 carries a game.

What does this stuff matter? They were 6min quarters i doubt 120 is possible! Thank you for showing your immaturity level! In my post I said I don't need to know about my life I lived it and I mean it was so perfect and all! Thanks for reminding me though that once again your probably another prideful parent hiding behind a screen name! lol. But you knew so much about my life please tell me about how I played running back and receiver in high school. Get back to the topic! Our youth league is ran correctly and the board can't force kids to play up that decision is on them and their parents!

I agree with some of what you say but on the other hand if everyone is there for "THE KIDS" and you want all kids to get better would it not be better to play up to make a team if your able that way all the kids that you say you care about get better with more playing time and the league and school teams get stronger or are we just there to win the turf bowl and play 11-15 players leaving the other 20-25 players on the sideline to play a play or two a game.
Thats the trouble right there,a parent says why spend 3-4 nights a week and all day Saturday down there when there kids dont play or play 1-2 plays in my humble opinion as it is you should care less about winning and more about teaching the basics not take 5-6 kids and send the rest off with another coach who knows nothing.
And your remarks would be more believable if as you say "you care about the kids" when many times in basketball regular season some didnt even get two minutes thats how much winning ment to you and then the kid you told to foul so you wouldnt have to play him is that the kind of caring we are talking about? I am a parent and if that had been my kid that you did that to we would have had words I promise.
I guess my point here is you are there to win or your there to teach but if you want to win no sacrafice is to much as long as we get the TURF BOWL" trophy which means nothing if you have left kids behind and did not play them then I guess they are the real losers or are they?

How much I care about winning? For one every child plays at least one quarter and If you would like you could come to one of my practices and see how all that is practiced is fundamentals and defense if i wanted to win so bad I would put in an offense but I don't b/c that takes away time from the fundamental time. Also I would really like to know where you got your information about telling the kid to foul so he wouldn't have to play that's ridiculous. And if you want to have words with me about anything then do it! At least you know who I am! Taking up for Chesapeake people that put in their time and effort for free and may I remind you these are the people that have been panthers for life!! Oh and btw if I really did that to a kid im pretty sure that any parent would have said something but i never heard a word about it so this is news to me b/c I wouldn't say that to a CHILD!

then say something to me tough guy! I never have claimed to be an all mighty glorified coach come to me as a man if i do something you don't like and help me correct it!! I'm not perfect nor are you or the next person! Do I get upset about losing? Yea its human nature but life goes on! So you have heard me tell a kid to foul so he doesn't have to play all the way from the stands? Or another parent has heard me say that from 100 feet away?
