Why so many crappy light up lettered signs in town? First thing you see when you come in to town is way too many crappy light up lettered signs. They look trashy! One or two - ok, but really?... we gotta have like 10 of them?? Clean up the city by cleaning up the signs!! They look cheap.

I agree. Half of the signs have stuff that's not even spelled right.

Several of them are blank, broken legs, uneven, fallen over, etc. Get rid of them.

Not directed towards the harts. I just think they look stupid. The signs are an equal opportunity offender. They're all over the friggin place. Look around, just about every business has a few crappy signs cluttering up their nice storefronts, property and the city. They don't look good. IMHO.

They may not look good, but some business need them signs to get messages to people, it makes it easy to see, having 1 sign is not bad, but agree 10 of them is a little extreme, but it is what it is.

OK ... My rant will end with this. A bunch of signs jumbled together looks bad. I could settle for 1 sign per business location. My real problem is the ones that are just scattered randomly by the intersections. Those look tacky and unprofessional and it's the first thing you see when you come accross the bridge. They make Chesapeake look ...... well ..... look like a big pile of ... as I digress.

Anybody passing thru or new to the area would just think that insead of having some class by erecting a real sign or purchasing a billboard, Chesapeake randomly scatters some junky looking lettered signs by the roadside. Those particular grouping of signs by the bridge look like they don't belong there, not in front of a business location, just sporatically placed along side of the road. Have some class people! They junk up the town.
