'Most Wanted' lists parents who owe child support -- themorning...

Northampton County has released a ''Most Wanted'' list of people who owe child support, and officials want the public's help in nabbing the scofflaws.

Iwill tell you this, if the court system wanted to , they would make sure the support money GOES TO THE KIDS. for their support , not the mothers support, but the system does NOT do a checks and balances on these so called mothers. The support system needs to be redone so more of the money doesnt get used for drug, smokes and booze, and the kids sit there with nothing. Sometimes you cant blame the dads, better yet give the dads custody and the money will be used on the kids, worst part is some of the mothers need to get their A$$ out to earn a living as well...

PA's child support system penalizes men. It does not actually take the father's fair share -- it takes as much as it possibly can from dad. So, an adulterous mother who gets to keep the children is entitled to a payraise every time the father earns an extra dollar. He is virtually crippled in starting a new life with a new family for 18 years....even though the mother destroyed the marriage.

Why is child support not taxed? If it were a sensible flat rate, fine. But women really profit from this system. So perhaps Rendell, the savior of Pennsylvania, ought to propose a child support tax to fund reconstruction of route 22!

I agree. When I was paying child support for my son, my ex-wife used it pretty much for anything EXCEPT for my son. She refused to work and lived off welfare, but yet she had to live in extravagant places. She would move in, pay a month's rent, and then stiff the landlord. It would take a few months to evict her, so then she would leave and do the same thing over again. Meanwhile, I'm working my butt off (since I was 12) and earning an honest living so SHE can live off of me twice.

Funniest part? When I had custody of my son, she did NOT have to pay one DIME support to me. How fair is that!

I gather either your brother or your husband/partner/BF has at least one child by a woman he didn't know as well as he thought, for whom he pays support. More often it is the woman who didn't know the man as well as she thought. He goes off to start his new adventures while she devotes her life to the child, dealing with everything from school to illness to activities to childcare on a daily basis, giving her considerably less time & energy to devote to earning a living.

Non custodial fathers have it so rough. I can't imagine having to pay child support to support a child I created.

Maybe more fathers need to seek custody of their children. If you look at the web site posted in the article you'll see the most wanted are all men, why, because they have children and then leave for whatever reason. AND they don't pay child support, that is the whole point of this article.

So why are the first comments on here to bash women who collect child support?

most women who get support do so because they can.They do not use it to help the kids but to hurt the fathers. i look at it like this,just how much would you pay to get your ex away from you so you do not have to see their nasty faces ever again? i paid over 30 k and it was worth every penny :) oh and why would racists be on this link?

My ex husband is dating a woman who has no lic. because she owes $32,000 to child support in Cali. but yet she is here in Ohio and isn't getting into trouble. Why has she not went to jail yet?....Is it because she is in Ohio now not Cali??? Just wondering!

Men withhold support to get back at their ex-wives.

Women withhold visitation to get back at their ex-husbands.

That's how the system treated me. One time I forgot to sign my check (back in the early 1990's before they took it out of the paycheck), and they sent it back to me. No big deal. I mailed it with my next payment. Just because I was 2 days late, they were threatening to throw me in jail!

My point hidden here is that the Domestics Relations system is completely messed up and a LOT of the workers are lazy and biased. I'm just glad my son is 19 and I don't have to deal with those idiots anymore.

I forgot! I also called SSI about this fraud, and they could care less about it. I told them that I knew for a fact someone on their system was defrauding them and I had written proof. The person I had talked to didn't seem to care and said that there wasn't anything that could be done.

the whole system is messed up. They expect men to pay support and give them 800.00 a month to live. Anyone who trys to live off of that will start acting like these men. Not work ..why should they work when they can not even eat...Yes you should support your child ...but they take every dime from these men and wonder why they do not work and sell drugs

The sad part is many mothers out there do not put the support $$ to where it needs to go. It's to SUPPORT the child/children. That is food, shelter, clothing and so on.
I receive $270.00 per month for 2 children, I carry the benefits and I pay 1/2 the medical bills. Trying to get the medical bill money is like an act of congress. We all have complaints, and I agree that many men do get the shaft, but there are some of us woman that are getting it too! They need to OVER HAUL the system. It stinks the way is right now….

Youre a JOKE !! Do you have children ?? Let me tell you I have NEVER "profited" off of my child support !! My child care expenses alone are close to $1200 a month not to mention medical, dental and vision that I pay out of pocket for my children who suffer from severe allergies, asthma and a vision disorder that requires regular prescription fills, eye glasses AND surgery. My ex pays NONE of that ! I get a flat $200 a week. Im not livin it up on that !!! I can promise you that !! Anyone who thinks that Mothers are gettin rich off these dead beat Dads is pathetic !!! Im glad they have this list ! I say they should do more to make fathers responsible for their children. They get off FAR too easy !
