You know, I will say some dumb stuff just to get a rise out of people on here but this crosses the line. This guy has two young kids and he is fighting just to walk again. No more comments like that.

I heard this guy was at home, is he not home and taking rehabilitation? I know the state has insurance and it pays for home health and rehab. Why I guess is my question, why would they still need fundraisers? The hospitals here write bills off when it over amount paid, so pretty sure after the deductible he could get bills wrote off at where ever he tripped and fell. They have a raffle for $5000 going on for him, tickets $50, from the Gazette paper you may be able to find where to find and buy tickets. Ric probably be reached through a Charlotte based entertainment company, it should be easy to do. Anyone know where to get info on what they need help in paying for and people can pay directly to the bills?

Just read update from Gazette, $25 for a single ticket for this event. Someone should ask when the raffle for the $5000 is going to be held. A good idea would be for them to pick the $5000 winner of raffle at the event they planning. I must say though that $25 for barbeque and music that not alot of families can attend. I really do not know who is the brains behind this kind of fundraisers but they put too high a price on trying to help these guys. I also read in paper that one of the families, do not know which, but one of the families best friends are the ones that the Worthy backetball player just so happen to pick to win the dinner with him. Shady people and now $25 for a ticket, I feel bad for them but this is getting ridiculous. I am not referring to the young guy Thornburg, his family has not asked nor had the extra/extravaganza that this trooper has had and still having. I pray he gets better but they do need a PR person because people are already talking about $5000 raffle not being held and the famliy friend that just so happen won the dinner with the Worthy man, out of all the donors in Gaston, it was a family friend that won. I will continue at to keep on prayer at Presbyterian but I think people and fundraising should be handled by a independent party.

I understand every word of previous post, is that the best you could do. You lack content in your post so a few errors on someone's post should not offend you, atleast they were talking about the topic. So if you don't have anything to say about the topic, why dear post?

again a comment that has nothing to do with post. For the others, why blow this Ric Flair thing out of proportion and nobody will answer, what bills are still due for the trooper for he is home recovering. I hope he continues to get better, but with all the fundraisers and hype they are putting around him, it is really making this into a fiasco. The news, paper and frankly everyone are running this into the ground. I do not think people realize the trooper has a hard time financially, the paper and even comments in the paper from a cousin stated that everything had been took care of, they made it sound as if the trooper did not need any financial help, so maybe this should be cleared up with bills they owe for rehab or anything. Something to let people know what they still need help with getting paid. I do agree with a post earlier, stating they should have the $5,000 raffle and give the money away to get people back involved, someone commented above asking when they were having this raffle. The tickets were $50 so sure they maybe people asking the same question, paper does not mention it either. LiverPuddin you may procede after this.

Haha agreed, I mean the same goes for you when you wish bad things on people. Not like you can say "oh don't say bad stuff and then wish something like that on someone. The dude was really just asking what the story was on him drinking and old man Vinegar was asking legit questions. With the guy home and rehab at home, what are the raisers for? Let the people know what needs to be paid, the kids live with mom I presume, and wife#2 is a very successful woman with a business, so I think old fart vinegar just wants to know, just what needs or lacks to be paid for the trooper? medical? yes help, but when it comes to paying a mortgage, child support or alimony, that is not what fundraisers are for when support system is strong. I agree, I have never seen something like this keep on and on without letting any public know what the deal is on, what he needs help paying. Liver Puddin will you please point out my grammatical errors so I can keep taking notes.

We have been at benefits and they seem to diminish with each one, the people are less and less at each. Now they are having a $25 a ticket for BBQ, public interest was shown at the Basketball game, not many attended. I think the people are wondering what they need help with, I am sure the bill in New York was written off, what they could not pay. If they would open up and let the public that supports them and wants them to be back to job and all the way whole. I read the post above and I do have to question why there has been no information on the $5000 raffle. Are they still trying to fund the raffle? Will and still donate, but in public opinion things are really out of control and to help all we can is expected but when some people have insurance and can feed their children, alot of public and private fundraisers usually do involve people with no insurance and having a hard time making bills. Does this young man live by himself and need help with home? Does he need help paying rehab? Let public know and they will tend to open their hearts more. Also the tickets should may not be so high, plenty of people would show if it was open donation $5 or more, they would get a better turnout to make this event worth the publications they are doing. May it be successful in the end so it does not look as scarce as the turnout for the basketball game.
