It is obvious what is going to happen. Why not just say so. The department has been tarnished beyond repair. The Police Chief Woody Burgess was suspended and one week later he retired/resigned. The Captain Michael Allred was also suspended (with pay) and his suspension is pending the outcome of the on-going investigation.

The recent plea bargains that were accepted by four of the men so quickly is a sign that they have turned states evidence,(against someone), more than likely not the other defendants charged in this case. After-all the FBI and SBI had more than enough evidence to convict.

It will be interesting to see who else will soon be indicted.

So let's all just admit that soon the police department building will be a regional office for the Gaston County Police department.
