County: Math mistake inflates Cherryville police cost
Gaston County now acknowledges it was wrong in assessing the expense of lending police officers to Cherryville in the city's time of crisis.Gaston County Police Chief James Buie said he incorrectly calculated the cost for county commission Chairman Donnie Loftis, who announced it at a recent meeting.

Is Chief Buie stupid or something? How could he not know the cost was less than half of what he told the commissioners? We really should replace the entire incompetent bunch.

No, not at all. However, his ignorance runs deep and wide. Intentionally misleading is beyond his ability level so I'd comfortably chalk this one up to buffoonery.

Buie's one of Obama's boys. Makes it up as he goes along . Couldn't manage a lemonade stand and we have him running things because he offered to do the job for cheap.
