Anyone who thinks that everything is over and done with in Cherryville should read this article. Good ole boys have driven this town forever and hopefully we did not just hire new ones fro the police department and City Manager. I really did not like that Blackburn hired a new chief so quickly with zero input from citizens. He even states that he knew him from before from his last job. Also do we really think a young sear gent from the Gastonia police department is really qualified to take a $65,000 a year position as our Chief? Who thought that through?

That's only $5,416.00 per month. Golly, wow I am retired and live on a fixed budget as well as a whole lot of other citizens. Our taxes will probably sky-rocket. Watch out you poor souls!
