Though the loss of Carolina Freight and textiles, Cherryville has struggled to maintain business entrepreneurs. There are several businesses remaining open and thriving because the community continues to support them. With this in mind, city upkeep is valuable to the businesses by creating a desirable vision for our unique and beautiful downtown. The parking lot behind McGinnis and Homefolks is not only unattractive it is a hazard. How about giving a paving company the opportunity to increase their business as well as improve the visual as well as safety aspect of this very utilized strip.
