Well now....this website as well as our town has become rather quiet here lately. Not a thing from "Alfred Newman". So who do we have to choose from? Am I correct in my belief that one of our candidates is a personal friend of one of the most notorious ( and yet unpunished ) white-collar criminals in this towns history? Just what we need. If the people of this town think what has taken place here over the past 2 years is bad......we haven't seen anything yet! This is only the beginning.

Alfred is campaigning.
Question- How does being a friend of the guilty make you a bad person.
Arguably-One could say that forgiving and moving on was the admirable thing to do and shows good moral character and good judgement.

The mayoral race is just a popularity contest at this point.
Now that Mr. Beam is running.

I don't know if you are correct or not. Humm......which candidate is a personal friend of one of the notorious? As for Alfred Newman, he must have gone back to making cartoons.

"You are who you run with", still holds true. As for people here in this small town, most don't cater to the idea of forgive and forget.

Ok....let's just forgive and forget. I would love to steal a half MILLION dollars and ride around Cherryville saying "Hey everybody...I love ya'll" I'm sure that the candidate most likely to be our next mayor is a strong supporter of a freaking disaster known as OBAMACARE. Go ahead Cherryville.....grab your hammers and drive the last nail in the coffin......fools.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear, I was agreeing with you and I am so sorry that you took my comment the wrong way. Most people in this town don't forgive and forget!!!!! I wasn't saying they had to. As for saying you are who you run with; an old saying is, if you run with dogs you are a dog. Well Sylvester201, I am sorry you took that the wrong way also. I wasn't making the comment to you; it was meant for some that are reading these posts. Excuse me and i am very sorry you took it wrong, but it was not meant toward you.

To Kate m... Thank you. I guess you are as upset with the current situation in our little town as I. Please..do not take it personally. But there is truth in what I had to say. Our town will never be the same, regardless of who is running it. The Eagle had an article about the fate of 3 of those involved in the FBI bust. Well...can you say "Probation"? None of those accused actually stole anything. The Honorable judge in this case probably has never heard of Cherryville, and couldn't care less. ALL will walk, including those accused at city hall.

Excuse me, but don't most people walk? Hey, I certainly am not being smart about the statement. Most people that are arrested go to jail for a few short hours and then they are let go to go home or to wherever. Then they return to court at a later date, fined and released because the court system is too crowded. Some have only made a small mistake. Cherryville will rise again, but until then we have to stick together and work harder to make our town a better place to live and think about the family's of those who have done wrong. I know of one that is very sweet and loved. The children are the ones that suffer. They are the ones that have to walk with their heads high. They are the ones that will do without know.

No ......... I made a simple error in typing. You want to make a big deal out of an error. I am sorry you feel the way you do.

To Kate M... no offense given and none received. My comment about the accused is a reflection of my attitude towards our current legal system. I am surprised that the two who received prison terms really happened. Maybe....just maybe....the rest of the suspects ( including those from city hall ) will get the punishment they deserve. Thank you.
