I have heard a couple names of people that are going to run against him. One on republican and one on democrat tickets.

TCC does NOT have a D.O.C. Ministry ( God, Sherifff & I Do).I do not attend TCC. On&On This teaches the unskilled and helps our community.
We are blessed for our Ministry and because we are not State or County funded you are blessed as well!
We have a 83.3 success rate as of this summer with the inmate we work with and I'm sure that percentage is higher now.Sheriff does this in his off time, I do this 24/7 (DO NOT IMPLY I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I"M DOING)
Others Pastors DO visit the Building as does A.A. N.A. We do Celebrate recovery classes for male & Female,Bible Study, I teach them to read & write and fill out job app's=(ALL with the supervision of the Sheriff )and help of our community, TCC being one of those!!!
I can't speak for the Sheriff I learned long ago he is able to do that for himself- I don't have that problem either -Entry stated they did not know the Sheriff , nor had they meet him- Well ! I Have
Should he decide to run again I see no problem and feel he has a strong standing- It takes a wise man to know the root to stopping re-incarceration is rehabilitation.Your worried about your tax dollars - One inmate has cost the State & County somewhere around $ 85,425.00 over a seven year span- Who is now a productive taxpayer just like the rest of us!
I would be glad to adddress anyone issues or question but they first must merit my time- Idle hands are the devil's workshop they say- Seems to be true-

He still works at Coffeyville Police Dept. He is not running again. He is backing another option...NOT our current Sheriff.

Well first of all, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that inmates need rehabilitation. ANYONE would agree with that. Please tell everyone what other churches they attend and HOW they get there?

What happened to "My employees won't walk on eggshells", he failed to mention.... THEY WILL WALK ON BROKEN GLASS!! What happened to "I will get along with other agencies"....THAT WENT DOWN THE DRAIN!! He can't get along with ANYONE!

You ARE entitled to your opinion as I am too! I think it's great you have taken an interest with the inmates! They need that! However, the issues with our current Sheriff are MUCH bigger than the inmates! Every bad situation needs a "hero" and it sure can't be him. He doesn't care how he treats people or how he impacts their lives.

IT IS TIME FOR ANOTHER CHANGE!

Maybe there are things going on that you are not aware of....they will all come out!!

It's about time someone was in office that was truly concerned with our county. Not someone who is always willing to cover-up for people in his department. There has been so much cover up by this sheriff it makes a person wonder if there is any honest people in the law enforcement around here. The current Sheriff in only concerned with his immage and intimidating those who cross him.

The problems with our counties judical system does not solely fall on the current sheriff. We have the vote, and I feel we should clean out the court house come this next election. He is also not the only on in the court house that goes to Tyro Christian Church. He is not the only county employee that makes decisions that effects the lives of Montgomery county citizens, say they are Christ like but that is not the way they live their lives beyond Sunday mornings. The current sheriff does not let the rest of the judical system bully him around, what I know of him I think he has the good intentions, most of the rest of the court house does not. So having inmates working on TCC would not make only him look good. Maybe he was encouraged by a few more selfrighteous people he bumps elbows with every work day. All we have to do is get out and vote!

You must have been fired from the Sheriff Dept.. Such anger could only stem from something of this sort. I am sure who ever you are if we put both sides of the story out here on this board it would not look so corrupt. I truly believe holding a office of this sort takes a very strong person to hold up to the politics, and know just how far you can stand your ground of thoughs above you, before you get resistance. You will never please all of the people all of the time. I think The Sheriff Stan Veach has done a Very Good job, coming into the disfunctional hornets nest that he came into. There was a lot of hills to climb and fires to put out. There were bad weeds to get rid of, to help the good ones grow stronger, and so they have! I hope the people look forward and not back, I truly believe we had some bad things in office, and I think if you want to makes changes that will make a difference then look at your JUDGES!!!! Especially Canaday, spending YOUR TAX dollars & MINE so freely on that Coffeyville Court House. For what?? It is like having the Two Colleges!!!! Lets just TAX US To Death for STUPID things. We have a good court house in Independence. Corrupt, yeah, these judges need to be looked at before our Fine Sheriff. I hope the public reading these realize most of the ones talking about him so awful must be the ones who got fired or quit because they would not follow the rules; that simple!! There is always A Reason for a person to to be so vicious. THINK ABOUT THAT VOTERS

I do know that the Coffeyville Court has 2x's the amount of cases than that of the Independence system. Yeah, that's a fact! Look into it please if you don't think so. Too many bad guys (& girls) in the Coffeyvlle system. Also, the Coffeyville courtroom is twice the size as the LARGE courtroom in Independence. It's just one of those darn things that WE as tax payers of MONTGOMERY COUNTY have to live with when you have two large cities in the same county. T.C.

I don't know about the others, but I personally did not and would not work for him. There IS all kinds of covering up going on. Why don't you call the KBI and ask for copies of open public record reports. You say he had to weed out some to let others grow?? Why aren't they growing?? Why are they miserable? Stan may have had good intentions taking office, but he fell in the corrupt hole instead of digging it out.

I agree with the judges comment. There is corruption there too. I too do not think we need to spend our tax dollars fixing up the Coffeyville Court House. What's wrong with it?

I do not think he is being led by the judges. Look at how much they butt heads with each other. We need a Sheriff Dept that is going to serve THE COUNTY, not just the highways. Where is our Sheriff? In Independence? You never see him out.

We had a bad ending with our last Sheriff, but at least he was personable...at least he was seen. He didn't just hide behind his office door. He wasn't "too good" to do any job that he asked of his employees. No he wasn't perfect...we won't find a "perfect" Sheriff that makes EVERYONE happy, but I personally think we need one that is going to put forth a little more effort!

i understand that mr. dierks had alot of problems with his fellow officers. which led to him leaving the department. if elected would he have to clean house and start over? as for mr. gilbert, i don't know the man. no ill will intended.

Well, you know, I asked around a lot about that , because I was so shocked when he was gone. From the most reliable source I have(that I trust), I heard he left because of the unethical and more less illegal behavior going on. But I'm sure Stan will have all kinds of stuff going around about both of them. That is how that always works. I personally think they were both good cops. You'll have to get ahold of someone and get the whole story on that, it is pretty interesting. It's been quite a while since Jerry Gilbert was in law enforcement, but from what I remember he was a pretty good cop. I HEARD he was running on the deomcrat ticket, though, and I am a strong republican....so there you have it....my two cents worth!!
