Flood experts keep eye on snowpack

There are 2 comments on the Bangor Daily News story from Feb 16, 2008, titled Flood experts keep eye on snowpack. In it, Bangor Daily News reports that:

“The Dead River and the Kennebec up by The Forks are open water. Usually, there are 6-feet ice chunks tossed along the sides. None are there”

As the snow continues to pile up, water flows into basements and ice encases trees, state officials are carefully monitoring snow and water levels with an eye toward spring flooding. via Bangor Daily News
