Why not make these youths cut the grass in the cemetaries they stole the markers from? Why not have them clean around the headstones and put back all the markers they took. Let them see the faces of the living relatives they hurt by stealing something. Jail is too easy for these kiddies. Make them work off this offence. I'm sure there are plenty of trash cans to clean; windows to wash; sidewalks to shovel - if you got snow.

I am sure they even stole the Veteran marker from my Dads grave in Green Twp. He was a WWII Veteran.

And how about their parents; were they paying attention to what their punk kiddies were doing or were they more interested in bars and bingos?

I lived in Mentcle 41 years before moving to Las Vegas. I had never heard of an incident like this happening in the area ever.

And don't tell me 'theres nothing for kids to do', cause I don't believe that.

I was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years. I also volunteered at Indiana Hospital for 6 years. Isn't there an elderly neighbor who could use a helping hand?

C'mon young folks -you're better than committing stupid, petty vandalism.
