okay wrote: naaah you can still get your welfare other places..... While this is true look at the ratio of welfare bums here??? This area was once a wonderful lucritive place to raise a family and set down roots has become a habitat for uneducated welfare trash and drug dealers??? It's really sick if you look at the big picture.

unknown wrote: <quoted text>I have to disagree, everyone comes back here because as far as I can see this is welfare county it's so easy to get welfare and drugs just take a look at the people around here. Do the math the percentage of uneducated, drug using, welfare scum compared to good hard working people well sorry to burst your bubble but the welfare bums win out...... The land is beautiful but the more these undesirables are migrating to our county they are making it a nasty place to live no matter what you say take a look at how much things have changed in just the last 10yrs??????? People usually come back after they leave because they lost everything where ever they were and they have family here and are desperate not because this is such a great place to live... wake up people!!! i disagree with what you said about people coming back here. a lot of people do come back for good reasons, myself included. i moved away for 3 years for a job. i was living in northern ny in a town where the average income was $20,000. i was making $50,000. by their standards i was rich. i was wealthy, but only by money though. i was lonely, did not fit in with the "larry the cable guy" mentalities and missed my family. i eventually moved back and ya know what? i love chautauqua county. i "discovered" so many things i never knew about this place before such as camping areas, hiking trails and fishing spots. i ended up starting to date the love of my life here even though i knew him from before (in his defense, he's from cheektowaga and moved here 2 years ago). not everyone in the county is a welfare recipient or druggie. also, seeing how you are encouraging the readers to "do the math" and figure out what the percentage of welfare bums vs. the hardworking people is, could you please just post it? i'm rather interested seeing how i do not have the resources to obtain this on my own. i do hope you weren't just talking out of your ass.

It's really sick if you look at the big picture. Takes one to know one. I don't think you can say everyone here is uneducated welfare trash, unless you're talking about Mayor Teresi and his cronies.

My husband lost his job at fieldbrook over a MINOR schedualing screw up!!! and has not been able to find work since, they just keep rolling in temp employees and to hell with decent workers. If you are not a highly schooled person or willing to work fast food for $7.75 an hour THERE IS NO WORK HERE!! we are close to losing our home and altho he has 12 yrs In Security and airport Security supervisory work guess what? NO WORK!

For a 100K I could live like roalty in this area. Compare housing prices/wages here to other parts of the country and get back to me. Also, we have snow to deal with, big deal it melts (SOMETIMES TOO LATE) But, we don't have major fildfires, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes or mass murder. The schools are great and it's a safe place to raise your children :)
