Student Ash Flat, AR	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #1 Feb 6, 2012 Judged: 1 1 1 I'm doing a school project and I need to know the effects of the Flood of 1982. I have searched the internet but there wasn't very much information on it. Your help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Student Ash Flat, AR	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #3 Feb 6, 2012 Well the idea of the project is the class is making a book of the area and we individually picked a topic that we could interview people about so any information on it would be great. Mainly how it affected the community, peoples lives, and maybe the water level of the river. Just stuff like that.

Just stuff like that. okay, well as far as the water level, I grew up in Williford and it was up to the eaves on the post office. The river covered about 25% of the bridge that is there now. I remember seeing no telling how many cows that had drowned that were in drifts, people's personal belongings were everywhere.
