Problem in apartment

For the past several months my family and I have been experiencing spiritual occurrences in our home. Having a Cherokee grandmother I was raised with the belief of our spirit guides and other spirits and was taught never to be afraid of them unless I sensed the evil. These spirits don't seem to be evil in anyway. They are more like pranksters. My children have no problem with them and neither do I. The problem is my husband. You would think someone with Irish heritage would have a belief in the paranormal but, he does not. And for this reason it seems that he is the brunt of all the activity. Well last night he made the spirits angry and I am concerned that this could backlash on me and the children. Even though they have never done anything to us can we in someway be at risk for other paranormal activity like my husband seems to be lately? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The Irish have similar beliefs to the Cherokee as far as the little people are concerned. Maybe you could get your husband to go along with you and your kids on leaving little gifts for the little people, like little clothes, dreamcatchers, miniature furniture, etc...Maybe this will also help him to appreciate his heritage alittle more!

I had thought about that but, he and his mom are both adamant about not believing. They claim they cannot believe in something that they can't see. Myself I do believe. My great grandmother taught me to respect the spirits. That when they are active it is because they are trying to tell us something important. My oldest son found the dreamcatcher that I made him when he was born and is bringing it home with him. I've decided to make another one for the little one and for our room and see if that kind of reassures him. For some reason he has more respect for my heritage than his own. Maybe it is because I am trying to pass along the Cherokee heritage to our sons. But at the same time I am also trying to learn the Irish and pass it along.

A friend of mine who lives on the reservation in Oklahoma is helping me out with this. He is asking the medicine man out there what I need to do to help keep any evil spirits out and from what he said the medicine man is going to perform a blessing for our family that should help.

Does anyone else have any ideas about what else can help? I am at my wits end because each time my husband hears something he wakes me up and I am not getting much sleep either which makes for a very short temper. Any help is appreciated.
