Just to update everyone ,even further with yet more worries.....It is not just the airport site that is in danger...are you a property owner/home owner....if so you may want to google NCDOT then look up TIP R-2408, TIP R-5115, TIP R-3623.You may not want to learn what the NCDOT has instore for Macon County. Your government has not bothered to let you in on this either. Just R-2408 cuts through mountains, streams, wetlands, and yes into the Iotla Valley. Maps are readily avialable. But the real question is everyone ready for loss? If this goes through, everyone will loose, big time. Take al Long look at all this construction being planned and then ask your county afficals that you elected "what's up with all this and why were we not told?" See how they answer. Yes....all this was on the D.C. news radio last Thursday night.
Let all the readers know what you all find out from all those "trusted" county officals.

Gimme a break.I looked this up.One is improving 3 miles of the depot st.extension.One is putting some truck turnarounds on the highlands road so those stupid trucks wont go through the gorge and get hung up.And the last is improving Buck Creek road so people can avoid the tourists in the gorge.Big deal.
