Cherokee Indian Reservation

My family and I traveled through Cherokee this past week while on vacation. My great, great, grandmother was born there. Unfortuneately most of her descendants have past away and other than her name I know very little of our Cherokee history. I love the land there. Such beauty! It's truly sad what the Cherokee were put through. Everyone else worries about "minorities" and their rights. The Cherokee are becoming more of a minority all the time. We had the privelge of stopping and watching a indian chief demonstrate some of the dances and give a little history while we were there. He is said to be one of only 446 full blooded Cherokee left. Truly sad.
